Excited to share my thoughts in a new Forbes article that dives into a topic close to my heart - Mentoring the next generation of marketers. In this piece, 20 of us shared practical tips for guiding junior talent, and the ideas are pure gold. My take? Empower juniors to own their responsibilities—even if mistakes happen. It’s in those moments that authentic learning and growth happen. I know that's what helped me grow in my initial days as a marketer. Mentoring is about setting examples, creating a safe space for experimentation, and helping mentees build the confidence to make their own decisions. When juniors feel trusted, they become more creative and innovative, and that’s where the magic happens. Curious to hear your perspective. What’s the most impactful mentorship advice you’ve received? Let me know below. ⤵ Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gfDETK5p Huge shoutout to the incredible contributors: Kelly Hopping, Meredith Rosenberg, Nikki Little, Kristin Russel, Kathleen Stockham, Trish Nettleship, Esther Bonardi, Kayla Spiess, Seema S. This is our boardroom and this is what Reverse Mentoring looks like. At the front, two of my 20 something recruiters are teaching the rest of the team on how to improve our social media strategies. It was so informative and it reminded me that it is mind blowing how much younger people in the workplace have to teach us. I was thinking that if you want your workplace to thrive, here are a few ideas - 1. Older leaders need to embrace the knowledge that younger staff have. This could be in the form of technology adoption, social media or general creative ideas. 2. Create a culture where the next generation feel safe to share. 3. Get everyone to speak. Remember the adage “if someone attends a meeting and doesn’t speak, they probably shouldn’t have been there”. 4. Get out of the groove or rut of thinking “This is the way it has always been done”. It’s time for change!!!

🌟 Taking a Big Leap: My Journey as a Communication Session Coordinator 🎙️ Last month, I took one of the most important steps in my life—something I never thought I’d be able to do. I became the coordinator for our daily English communication sessions. Communication has always been one of my weakest areas, especially in English. I often doubted my ability to lead a session where communication was the key focus. But stepping into this role taught me the value of pushing myself beyond my comfort zone and embracing challenges head-on. I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to my trainer, Lekshmi Chandana S D Ma’am, for guiding me and encouraging me to step out of my safe zone. A big thank you to my batchmates as well, for their constant support and encouragement throughout this journey. Together, they made this experience not just manageable but truly enjoyable. Here are some highlights of this incredible journey: 📌 Organizing creative and interactive activities like debates, role-plays, and team challenges. 📌 Encouraging participants to build confidence and embrace public speaking. 📌 Developing my own leadership and time-management skills along the way. 💡 What I Learned: Taking that first step, no matter how uncertain, is always worth it. Great coordination means listening, encouraging, and leading with empathy. The power of communication lies in creating connections and mutual growth. This experience has been life-changing for me, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. It has inspired me to take on more challenges and continue growing personally and professionally. If you’ve ever stepped out of your comfort zone and taken a leap, I’d love to hear your story in the comments! #Leadership #CommunicationSkills #PersonalGrowth #Teamwork #ChallengeAccepted #Brototype #Brocamp #BCR66

Since joining Prossimo Global Partners back in May, I’ve been working on, amongst other things (Skills Sprints anyone?), expanding our Mentor Elevate: Purpose-driven Peer Mentoring Program (Inside we just call it ME:PMP 🙂). We see purpose-driven peer mentoring as is a way to reshape organizations around what truly drives success: trust, relationships, and collaboration. When we prioritize connection, we unlock human potential in ways that traditional approaches never could. That philosophy is baked into our approach. Purpose-driven peer mentoring isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. Using a cohort-based approach in the Circle platform, we’re building dynamic, mentoring knowledge, skills and communities. With tools like our Work-Life Map™, co-created resources, and continuous collaboration spaces, Mentor Elevate ensures that learning evolves with a team’s needs. The result? A mentoring culture that not only strengthens relationships but also delivers measurable business outcomes in knowledge sharing, problem-solving and employee engagement. This is what happens when you make social connection a priority, it transforms the organization and the people in it! So, this is what we’ve been building at PGP, and it’s deeply and refreshingly aligned with my belief that thriving organizations start with empowered individuals… and it almost ready for release! Ready to stimulate a culture of connection and growth? Reach out to me to learn more. #Sociallearning #Mentorship #Leadership #Mentoring #CultureTransformation #Culture

☕ September 29 is Happy National Coffee Day ☕ At Legacy Talent Development, we believe that mentorship is like a good cup of coffee—rich, invigorating, and best enjoyed together. Just as coffee fuels our day, mentorship fuels our growth, fostering connections that empower us to reach our full potential. Here are a few ways coffee and mentorship go hand in hand: ☕Creating Connections: Just as coffee brings people together, mentorship builds relationships that inspire and motivate. ☕Encouraging Open Conversations: The casual atmosphere of a coffee chat can open the door to meaningful dialogue, allowing mentors and mentees to share insights and experiences. ☕Brewing New Ideas: Like a perfect blend of flavors, mentorship encourages collaboration and creativity, helping individuals think outside the box. ☕Cultivating Growth: A good mentor nurtures talent, just as the right brew nurtures our spirits, leading to personal and professional development. On National Coffee Day, let’s raise our mugs to the mentors and mentees who inspire us! What’s your favorite coffee mentoring moment? Share in the comments.
