In my experience working with RMCs and service providers in #globalmobility, whether that’s preparing a proposal response or supporting the proposal team with tasks that enable them to respond to RFPs, I discovered one common but major challenge that they all have. Check out the video to learn about this challenge, and drop your comments or questions below! ⬇️ #proposalmanagement #proposalwriting #RFPs The RFP House
It's an ROI consideration. If you don't have the time to eliminate errors that may cost you the opportunity you've spent all this effort on already, you should get outside help and the benefit of fresh set of eyes from Olivia Bahrami, CERP™!
Love this video! RFP writers have so much in common with content teams in this regard. Time is the ultimate currency—we all have limited hours in the day. Ensuring organizations dedicate time to keeping content relevant and up-to-date is essential for meaningful progress and impact.

2moAnother aspect of time is the timeframe the RFP requestor gives you to respond. As you mentioned, RFP teams run lean. So if you receive an RFP to respond to and they have given you 2-weeks to respond - in their opinion, that should be enough time but they fail to consider is that their RFP is not the only one in production; RMC's respond to 80 - 500 RFP's each year depending on the RMC's size, number of sales reps and geographic reach, so at any given point in time there are multiple (even dozens) of RFP's in production....so, if for example they send it on a Monday, it takes a day or two to get it approved for response and assigned to a proposal manager (and that manager is likely already working on 1 or more RFP's at the time) and now you have to pull your SME team together to discuss the scope and response requirements, assign out questions, pricing, contract review, data privacy agreements etc. - and we all experience calendar congestion - so trying to get 6-8-10 people on a call at the same time is very difficult. Now you only have 5 -6 business days to respond and it's just not possible. RFPs should have a 1-month minimum response time.
