Team Duckar stole our hearts at the Dakar Rally 🐥 Sure, the 2CV is an undeniable '70s icon, but with front-wheel-drive, a 650cc engine, and just 35 horsepower, it might not be your first choice when taking on the most ruthless rally raid in the world. And it hasn't exactly had the best track record, either. With 14 failed attempts, this beloved classic had never reached the finish line. Until Barbora and Lucie came along, that is 🇨🇿 Not only were the duo the first Czech women's crew to conquer the Dakar Rally's tracks, but Duckar was also the first Citroën 2CV to reach the finish line 🏁 This is what made their story all the more impressive: 🙅🏻♀️ No previous rally raid experience 💸 No corporate sponsorship money ⚙️ A cheap, reliable car; no flashy tech 🛠️ Easy to repair when things go wrong 🌍 A global community backing their Dakar dreams Sure, we got to sit down with rally-raid royalty like Carlos Sainz Sr and Nasser Al-Attiyah in our roving studio for Red Bull TV's 'Dakar In The Dust'.
