mSurgery: Connecting 25 VR Headsets to the Surgeon’s Console View The upcoming “Robotic & Endoscopic Breast Surgery Course,” taking place on December 12-13, 2024, at Hospital Universitari Germans Trias i Pujol in Barcelona, presents a unique technical challenge: providing 25 surgeons with the same stereoscopic (3D) view experienced by the console surgeon on the da Vinci system (Intuitive’s surgical platform)—all at the same time. For the first time, 25 surgeons will be able to see a surgery as if they were seated at the controls of the da Vinci console. This is made possible through mSurgery’s cutting-edge technology, ensuring each participant has an immersive experience that feels like being at the console. This approach not only optimizes resources but also sets a new standard in surgical training. Participants will benefit from: • Real-Time 3D Vision: The 25 VR headsets provide a real-time view of the surgical field with the same depth perception as the console surgeon. • High-Quality Imaging: Each participant will experience ultra-high-quality visuals, capturing every detail of the surgical procedure. • Stability and Minimal Latency: mSurgery’s robust technical infrastructure ensures seamless signal delivery to all 25 VR headsets, even in a dense user environment. Why VR headsets instead of a traditional projector? Because VR delivers exactly what the console surgeon sees: precision, depth, and detail in every surgical movement—an experience impossible to replicate with 2D or 3D projection systems. This level of immersion is crucial for maximizing learning and understanding of advanced surgical techniques. We are proud to collaborate with Lidia Blay MD, PhD and her team, taking surgical training to the next level through technological innovation. #SurgicalEducation #VRinSurgery #RoboticSurgery #Telepresence #MedicalInnovation #mSurgery

Patient’s Clincal Story A 14-year-old patient presents with Mandibular Condylar Hypoplasia and an absent zygomatic arch, both of which significantly impact facial structure and development. Mandibular Condylar Hypoplasia involves the underdevelopment of the mandibular condyle, an essential component of the jaw joint responsible for jaw movement and alignment. This condition poses substantial functional and aesthetic challenges. Moreover, the lack of a zygomatic arch exacerbates issues of facial symmetry and function, creating a complex case for reconstructive surgeons. Role of ImmersiveTouch Utilizing ImmersiveTouch’s advanced VR software, ImmersiveView 5.0, surgeons achieved a detailed visualization of the patient’s facial and thoracic anatomy. This enabled precise planning of surgical procedures involving the harvesting and grafting of the patient’s own costochondral rib cartilage for facial reconstruction. ImmersiveView 5.0 enhances the surgical process by providing a personalized approach to patient treatment, thereby streamlining the procedure and improving patient outcomes. #FacialReconstruction #MandibularCondylarHypoplasia #ZygomaticArchAbsence #ImmersiveTouch#ImmersiveView5 #SurgicalVisualization #PatientOutcome #SurgicalPrecision #PatientCare #HealthTech #CuttingEdge #MedicalAdvancements #HealthcareInnovation #SurgerySuccess #TechnologyInMedicine #SurgicalExcellence #SurgicalPlanning #VR #VirtualReality #immersivetouchinc #immersivethursdays
