🍷 Cheers to a Night of Fun and HR Inspiration! 🍷 Last night’s Virtual Wine Mixer was everything we hoped for—engaging, insightful, and just the right amount of “unwinding after hours.” To everyone who joined, poured a glass, and shared their thoughts, thank you for making it such a fantastic experience! Highlights included: 🥂 Learning the art of wine swirling (shoutout to Roger Beery from J. Cage Cellars for turning us all into sommeliers-in-training). 💬 Laughing at workplace clichés like “per my last email” and “circle back” while toasting to HR positivity. 🏆 Epic trivia battles (because who doesn’t love a good raffle and a little competition?). ❤️ Honest conversations about the challenges HR pros face—and how UKG is here to lighten the load. As we sipped our way through Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, one thing became clear: HR professionals deserve moments like this. Whether it’s about elevating employee experiences or simply savoring a glass of wine, we’re here to support you every step of the way. Huge thanks to Julie Develin, SHRM-SCP, GTML for dropping wisdom (and some great moments of laughter) and to everyone who brought their energy and expertise to the table. 🍷 If you missed this one, don’t worry—we’ll have more events like this soon. Until then, here’s to great wine, great company, and even greater HR solutions. 👉 What’s your favorite wine or go-to workplace cliché? Let’s keep the conversation going in the comments! What happens when you bring together HR Practitioners over delicious food and tasty beverages? You get some really engaging conversation!! Thank you to HiBob, Clay Steel and Rachel Beck for bringing together an awesome group to discuss our challenges, share solutions, and connect over mutual "top of mind" thoughts, er... nightmares. I have made it an intention to be more connected to my HR community and dinners, happy hours and lunches have been an incredible way to connect, share and compare. Would love to be invited to more!!! And work within the network I already have to get together for the in person conversations. Want to plan a HR get together, together? #hr #connection

I feel sorry for individuals who actually contend that HR personnel basically exist to serve tea or coffee at events, to decorate rangoli for workplace gatherings, or for fun Fridays. A while ago, an employee walked towards me and stated, "Hey, the coffee beans haven't been in the machine for quite some time, please ensure that it remain there in the machine Following that, I wondered, had I gotten my MBA only to assure that coffee beans had to be contained in the machine?" And I got the answer be a minute is that HR team of any organization strives to keep their "Talents" satisfied and happy at workplace despite the fact that their problem doesn't even pertain to HR department," However, people ought to keep in consideration that there are also considerably more crucial grants which relies solely on HR, therefore HR doesn't exist merely to ensure coffee beans has to be present in the machine or making rangoli or plan fun Fridays. P.s. - Human Resources is the most selfless job to perform, despite how dejected HR personnel may feel in their life, they have to put beaming face in presence of their employees and be optimistic so that they will not lose their trust on organization. #HRmostselflessjob #HRandnotonlyeventmanager #HRworksbeyondthericapacity #LinkedIN

📢 Big shout out to my HR family out there – YOU ROCK! I read a post this weekend that totally shocked me and has been playing on my mind since. It was written by someone with a legal background too completely bad mouthing HR (🤯), so I wanted to give a big shout out to the HR Community in support of the amazing work you do! ▶️HR are a strategic partner and adviser to the business and employees ▶️HR are not the company administrators (seriously there is enough HR admin involved as it is) ▶️HR work tirelessly behind the scenes to create a safe and productive environment for you to work in, often having to rewrite brilliant work due to legislation changes or new company directives ▶️HR are human beings and can have bad days too, but have to wear that smile and support the business every day ▶️HR are not mind readers – it really helps to keep them informed of things going on or coming up ▶️HR tend to put everyone else before themselves (serving hearts) and have to constantly be setting a good example ▶️HR are not just there to deliver bad news ▶️HR welcome regular visits and checkins ▶️Some of the most intelligent people I know work in HR So to support, can I ask that you: ✳️ Pop in, say hello and check in with your HR Team. A thank you every now then feels incredible! ✳️ If HR ask you to do something, please don’t make them have to chase you for it. I know it may not seem the most exciting thing to do sometimes, but they wouldn’t be asking for it if it wasn’t needed. ✳️If you are not sure about something, ask someone about it first before doing! ✳️Think about what you are doing and if it could potentially cause a HR issue (i’m not just talking Christmas party shenanigans either….remember most conflicts arise out of miscommunication) ✳️ Provide feedback if it can support - two heads are often better than one To all of you unsung heroes out there, I’ve got your back! +++ 🍋Give someone a ‘Thank You’ today to make their day and let them know that they are appreciated! 👉 I'm not naive enough to know that there are not bad apples out there in the profession, but to slam HR and not recognise all the work they do is just not fair!

“You only work in HR if you want to be a corporation's pet”... this is a REAL comment I saw on an HR related social media post. I laughed but it stung a little bit! 😲 I hate seeing comments that are hateful towards HR professionals. But then I remembered a chat I had with a friend recently. They mentioned that the person handling HR at their company was actually a salesperson who had taken on the HR role to expand their job responsibilities and become more valuable to the company's leadership. According to my friend, this person always seemed to go along with what the leadership wanted, and my friend suspected it was because she wanted to make herself look good. 🤷Whatever the reason, “HR Professionals” like this are why we sometimes get a bad rap. Which I get and am fully prepared to fight the stereotype for the rest of my HR career. Because as much as there are “bad HR professionals” who are “yes” people, or “no” people, or the “police”, there are also a lot of great HR professionals out there. And I’m here for those people 👋 - those who recognize that employees might come in with preconceived notions about our role, but we know that we are in positions to impact their workday and continue to show up when it gets hard. #hr #hrprofessional #hrmanager

In HR, we understand that success is not just about following rules, but also about fostering passion and creativity. Let's take inspiration from the culinary world, where every dish is a labor of love, crafted with innovation and personality. By infusing our HR practices with a little extra love, we can create workplaces where every individual feels valued and supported. Just like a well-balanced dish, a recipe for success in HR requires the right ingredients - innovation, personality, and most importantly, a sprinkle of love. Let's work together to create a fulfilling workplace experience that's as delicious as it is successful. #HR #workplaceculture #recipeforsuccess

One of my friend Pulkit Joshi shared me the below Video. A Coffee Mug Story which resembles “An HR's day is measured not by tasks completed, but by the number of cold coffees left behind." Sometimes, HR processes feel like they’re from another era, keeping even our coffee on hold. From a distance, an HR professional’s life might seem easy, but the reality is far from it. Our unattended cup of coffee knows the real story—one of endless dedication, unspoken challenges, and tireless effort. If this resonates with you, share the story of the HR coffee cup. #HRLife #HumanResources #HRStories #WorkLifeBalance #HRChallenges #OfficeLife #BehindTheScenes #HRProfessionals #WorkDedication #UnsungHeroes #CorporateLife #EmployeeExperience #HRCommunity #WorkplaceRealities #HRInsights #CoffeeStories #OfficeHumor #DailyGrind #ProfessionalLife #HRSupport #Sankethinsights

If you need recognition, don't go into HR. 🙅♀️ HR is one of the least appreciated jobs in organizations. If you need applause, this might not be your gig. ❌ Here's the how it goes: ⤵ ➡ Behind the Curtains: HR professionals do the heavy lifting—resolving conflicts, managing benefits, and navigating the complexities of employee relations—all without the limelight. It’s crucial, but it’s often thankless. ➡ Others Come First: In HR, it's about lifting others up, not about getting pats on the back. You're recruiting the best talent, crafting killer employee programs, and building a positive culture, all while staying out of the spotlight. ➡ Silent Operators: Handling sensitive info and tough issues means working quietly and confidentially. There's no room for ego when you're dealing with people's livelihoods. ➡ Real Satisfaction: The true reward? Knowing you’ve made a real impact on someone’s career or life, even if no one else sees it. ⭐ If you’re all about recognition, HR might not be your path. But if you thrive on making a difference without the fanfare, HR is where you can shine, even if no one else knows it. ⭐ #HR #HRLife #HumanResources #WorkplaceWellbeing #EmployeeSupport

Y'all realize your HR person is also an employee of the company right???? I feel like it's lost on some employees that we also are trying to: ✔ Grow our careers ✔ Navigate tough situations ✔ Receive actionable feedback ✔ Hold others accountable And that many of the problems the employees face, we also face... Not to mention- we're usually tasked with FIXING THE PROBLEMS. All of that ON TOP OF being held to different standards, criticized at every turn, held accountable for things outside our control, and expected to show up calm, cool, and collected even when employees are disrespectful, manipulative, and even hostile. We see the very best AND the very worst in people. ❤️ Woof, this job is hard sometimes. So this is just your Friday reminder: be kind to your HR team, most of us are trying to make our workplaces better. And before you are quick to attack your HR team: ✔ Have some empathy ✔ Look at your actions // the actions of those around you 🤝 HR teams: find your support system because you're not alone. Shoutout to my crew who keeps me calm and reminds me to take a break: Jessica D. WinderTara Turk-Haynes Anessa Fike 🏡 Kim Rohrer Morgan Williams Noah W. Alex Seiler Sarika Lamont Halai Shukran, SPHR Tracie Sponenberg Stacey Nordwall Catalina Colman Cassandra Babilya Cassidy Edwards P.S. She does go here. #hr
