A good example of something short and sweet: With two days of prep and two days of shooting on stage. A few weeks of pre, and a few weeks of post. This trailer used a mix of shot types: - Live Action - ICVFX in-camera, straight off the stage - ICVFX with live action and traditional VFX enhancements - 100% rendered shots from Unreal Engine Art directing with Unreal Engine played an important part in driving key design decisions early in the production process, setting the foundation for the rest of the project. It was also a strong reminder that planning your sequences in advance is super valuable, regardless of the shoot's size. I was really impressed by how the different shots came together in the final edit. One of my favorite aspects of using Unreal in the process is how it allows you to critique shots in pre-production, that are in-fact the final shot, with final assets, and final lighting, but still real-time. Everything was evaluated in the context of its actual lighting and the plan for the shoot day---TURNTABLES BE GONE! This was a collaboration between Feature, Orbital Studios, and Narwhal Studios. I designed SIX steering wheels with generic backside fluting (between the fingers) to accommodate a variety of hand sizes when Endurance Racing demands more than one driver takes the wheel. Since each wheel is made by hand, no two wheels will feel exactly the same. These mild designs allow drivers to adapt their hands more easily to each grip. However, in DEDICATED steering wheel situations (IndyCar/F1/et al.), deeper, more aggressive designs allow drivers to read steering feedback through their fingertips while the palm heel below, and index fingers above can lean against upper/lower wings to reduce fatigue. EMG tests at NIOSH using standard university testing protocols have shown a 54% reduction in linear force required. This means properly molded grips can effectively act like power-steering systems WITHOUT complex systems that add potential points of failure and extra weight. After over a quarter-century helping driver clinch championships in IndyCar, Formula One, IMSA, NASCAR, PersonaGrip is well-proven in the highest forms of racing.
