𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞. Here's a simple 3-step framework for picking the best brands: Buying from distributors and wholesalers will always be a viable model. But partnering directly with brands is a more sustainable model long term. Here are 3 things to look for in a brand partner: 𝟭) 𝗘𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗕𝗔 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 You want there to be existing FBA competition. This may seem backward. But if there's existing competition, you know the brand allows 3p sellers. If you can provide value that existing 3p sellers aren't providing, you have a shot. Value such as listing optimization, running effective PPC, brand registry enrollment, creating their storefront, etc. 𝟮) 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 There's plenty of opportunity to pursue brands that sell directly to Amazon. But that's a different model. Look for brands that are struggling with existing sellers. Look for potential for improvement (via the value-adds I mentioned in step one). It'll be easier to work with brands that don't have an existing relationship with Amazon Retail (typically). 𝟯) 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 This is arguably the most important point. You don't want to work with brands that sell to anyone off the street. You want brands that are selective about who they work with. It takes a while to get your foot in the door with these brands. But when you do, it's much harder for others to take your spot. Continue to provide value (i.e. increase their sales) and they won't want to work with anyone else. #amazonseller #amazonfba #fba #wholesale

📈 Scaling Your Amazon Wholesale Business: Strategies for Growth 📈 Building on my last post about thriving in Amazon wholesale, let’s talk about one of the most critical aspects: sourcing products. Here are some strategies to streamline your sourcing process and maximize profitability: ♦ Attend Trade Shows: These events are goldmines for finding reliable suppliers and unique products. Building face-to-face relationships can lead to better deals and exclusive opportunities. ♦ Leverage Online Marketplaces: Websites like Alibaba and ThomasNet can connect you with a vast array of manufacturers. Always conduct due diligence by checking reviews and requesting samples before committing. ♦ Focus on Brand Partnerships: Collaborating with established brands can provide access to trusted products and marketing support. Explore opportunities to become an authorized reseller for popular brands. ♦ Evaluate Product Viability: Before finalizing a product, analyze its sales potential using tools like Keepa to track historical price trends and sales volume. Look for items with high demand but low competition. ♦ Consider Local Suppliers: Don’t overlook local wholesalers. They often have shorter lead times and lower shipping costs, which can significantly boost your margins. ♦ Stay Agile: The market changes rapidly. Be prepared to pivot your sourcing strategy based on emerging trends or shifts in consumer preferences. Build an Affinity Mindset with Brands in Amazon Wholesale The lower you can get your inventory costs, the higher your profits will be. This is often the biggest expense we face. So, how can you get better prices from your suppliers? Saying something like, "Hey, I sell on Amazon and need a discount because the buy box is tanking," will not work. Suppliers want to make profits too, so they will not just give discounts easily. Instead, ask yourself, "How can better pricing for me benefit this supplier?" If you are dealing with a brand, focus on their main issues on Amazon. Here’s a real glimpse from my business: A brand we work with needed help to rank well on Amazon. We also manage their advertising. I suggested that if we get an extra $1-$2 off our buy cost, we could spend more on ads. The brand owner agreed and gave us a $5 discount! This discount allows us to run more ads, boosting the product's sales velocity and increasing our profit per sale. It is a win for us and the brand. Wholesale businesses are all about relationships and creating success scenarios. If you can crack that code, higher profits will follow. #AmazonWholesale #BrandRelationship #SourcingDiscount
