Are you a professional HVAC-R Technician, or just happy being a HACKER. The install crew here need to go back to school. At the end-of-the-day, proper HVAC and refrigeration unit operation and performance is all about "air flow". Lack of airflow reduces capacity, and causes above normal condensing temperatures (and pressures), thus less Btu capacity and efficiency. \ Is this install in an area where they get snow (?) and does it drift in this cavity. Perhaps their 'thought process' was "out-of-sight, out-of-mind". I've serviced units like this buried in the winter and the customer has no-clue why his HP isn't working. And I would like to meet the "skinny guy" who crawled-out through the stand., or perhaps they used two ladders (??). If the customer wanted it in this location. then I would have send him a letter that he/she bares all responsibility for lack of performance, and "to protect ones ass". Common sense went out the window. Credit to Ian for the picture, so I can make a comment on how not to install your HP.

If you notice your #electricity unit (from the utility meter) is getting exhausted unusually, there could be one possible cause among many others. Most likely there's a line leakage to earth.. These leaks can come from your DB or cooker unit or your 15/13A power socket. Call a competent Electrical Technician to have a thorough inspection on your electrical system. The same scenario is applicable for you if you notice your #Solar/inverter battery doesn't last long (mostly all of a sudden) When there's a line leakage, the circuit tends to draw more current, sometimes as much as a heating element (iron plate, pressing iron, water heater...) would draw. Call a #competent Electrical/Solar Technician to have a thorough inspection on your Electrical and Solar System #Solar #Electrical #Powermanaement #Troubleshoot
