LBC's Andrew Marr interviewed Victor Gao about China's influence in the UK. The host may have thought he posed a formidable question, but instead, he received a resounding rebuttal from Gao, China’s spokesperson. Gao eloquently asserts China’s stance, portraying Britain as a valued ally rather than a competitor. He boldly showcases China’s unparalleled economic prowess, dismissing any notion of rivalry between the two nations. With compelling arguments, Gao champions peaceful coexistence and urges Britain to acknowledge China's pivotal role in shaping global trade dynamics. #ChinaUKRelations #GlobalEconomics #PeacefulCoexistence #EconomicDominance #FriendshipNotRivalry #LeadingInnovation

A very good essay on Washington's strategy to engage Asia. "American strategy in Asia is best served by focusing on adapting to specific local contexts. Washington should resist the urge to search for stable pro-American factions with which to partner and pro-China ones to denounce or oppose. While such factions sometimes exist, more often these alignments are fluid and shifting. U.S. policymakers must become more comfortable with ambiguity, focusing on what the United States and its partners can best offer in a particular setting, regardless of China’s influence." https://lnkd.in/g8d242qb
