The first Cleantech Reality Check reveals the EU is at risk of missing 2030 targets for clean aviation and maritime transport unless the rollout of critical clean technologies accelerates. Key takeaways include: ✈️ Sustainable aviation fuel (#SAF): Not a single project has reached financial investment decision (FID). Scaling SAF now could unlock a €350+ billion annual global market by 2050. Arcadia eFuels is committed to bringing eSAF at scale to the market as soon as possible. 🏭 Green hydrogen for refineries: Promising progress, with over 60 project announcements, but sustaining momentum is critical. 📉 Maritime e-fuels (e-ammonia, e-methanol): Only two projects with shipping as an offtaker have reached final investment decision (FID).
