Today we begin a content series called “25 Days of Project 2025”. If you weren’t already concerned about a second Trump presidency then brace yourself because this sh*t is scary. Project 2025, devised by former Trump White House staffers, is an authoritarian, Christian nationalist plan to transform the Untied States into an autocracy. It would undermine the rule of law, the separation of powers, the separation of church and state and civil liberties for women, people of color and the LGBTQ+ community. Each day we’ll be highlighting a different policy contained in Project 2025’s 900-page manifesto. We recommend that you share with friends and family who may not be aware of what will happen if Trump wins in November. #25DaysofProject2025

Tonight's debate isn't about winning or losing; it's about who leads with greater dignity. And for me, that's Tim Walz, hands down! As a champion for LGBTQ+ rights, he's consistently shown compassion and empathy ¹. From sponsoring his school's Gay-Straight Alliance to opposing the ban on same-sex marriage in Minnesota's constitution, Walz has demonstrated leadership with heart. *Leading with Dignity: Tim Walz's Key Qualities* - *Compassionate Leadership*: Walz has been a steadfast ally to the LGBTQ+ community, supporting equality and justice. - *Courage in Conviction*: He opposed efforts to ban same-sex marriage, even when it was unpopular. - *Inclusive Vision*: Walz's commitment to diversity and inclusion makes him a leader for all Americans. With Tim Walz as VP alongside Kamala Harris, we can expect a leadership team that values dignity, compassion, and equality for all. Let's make it happen in 2024! #KamalaHarrisPresident2024 #TimWalzVP2024 #LeadershipWithDignity #VoteForChange

Seth’s cogent summary and smart recommendations on responses are worth a read.
Queer scapegoating was a signature part of this election. That's not surprising, it's been a key strategy of authoritarian movements globally for almost two decades. It will be a hallmark of this administration. A key goal of queer scapegoating is setting down polarization traps to radicalize and trigger the LGBTQ movement, tricking us so that we alienate potential allies and split opposition coalitions by taking an absolutist "with us or against us" attitude. Here's my essay about how it works, and how queer Americans can take action by not taking the bait, and instead, leading inclusive, cross-ideological coalitions in their own communities. We can get through the darkness by leading the way out for everyone.

Alumni Profile: Bish (Biswajit) Paul ('17), now Senior Program Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, discusses his passion for using evidence-based approaches to address historical injustices and his longstanding work advocating for the LGBTQ+ community. “There were two things I wanted to do when I came to CCST. One was to make sure we could correct historical wrongs and injustices by using evidence-based and science-based policies. The second was to find ways to pay it forward to others. If you forged a pathway for yourself, how can you keep that door open and bring in as many people after you, whether they are queer, scientists of color, or international scientists…anything that puts you in a historically underserved community.” Read the full profile of Bish by CCST Alumni Engagement Officer Perry A. Our Transgender Siblings are under serious attack, with anti-trans hate crimes targeting individuals and traumatizing the larger Queer community. People who live openly as their true trans or nonbinary selves are acting with great courage, and deserve our active support and solidarity. According to the Anti-Trans Bills Tracker, the situation in 2024 so far is a little better than last year, thanks to active organizing and advocacy of the LGBTQ++ community. But there have still been 593 bills introduced in 42 states, creating significant threats to peoples' lives and futures. Solidarity is key. Raise your voice, use your power, act for human dignity and self-determination. #TransPower #SoftMagic #Transsolidarity #Transgender #queer https://lnkd.in/gesAS9R5
