Wine Offers at Supermarkets - For Carrefour, as for Costco and Tesco and every other major general retailer, wine is, and will always be, just one of the products in which they trade Wine will sometimes sold without profit or at a small loss to reduce stock or attract customers. Whether you are offering soda pop, toilet paper or wine, what matters is the price you have persuaded your target customers that they are worth #wine #wines #winebusiness #wineindustry #winemarket #value #price #supermarket #retail #commodities #categories #offers #discounts #valuecreation #valueperception

At a moment when the wine market is seeing sales fall by both volume and value, innovation is necessary—innovation that makes the diversity of wines available in the country easily available to all consumers. NO SINGLE POLICY MORE STIFLES INNOVATION IN THE AMERICAN WINE MARKET THAN THE STATE BANS ON RETAILER-TO-CONSUMER SHIPPING. In 35 states, consumers are relegated to ONLY PURCHASING at retail those wines their in-state wholesalers make available. Make no mistake: The selection of wines wholesalers make available to a state's retailers is pathetic to begin with and shrinks year over year as these protected rent-seeking middlemen ignore hundreds of thousands of unique wines. More importantly, if the U.S. marketplace were open to interstate retailer shipment innovation in sales and delivery methods would explode. Yet without this kind of reform to the state laws, few entrepreneurs have any interest in investing time and money in a rigged system that is built for one single reason: TO PROP UP THE LEAST INNOVATIVE AND MOST ANTI-CONSUMER ELEMENT OF THE AMERICAN WINE INDUSTRY: WHOLESALERS PROTECTED BY CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS. #wine #wineindustry #wineshipping #alcohol #wineconsumers #alcoholreform

Following on from last week's dynamic graph of different countries' wine exports, in volume, over time, here is a static graph that completes the picture: selected countries' average wine export prices over time, as researched by the American Association of Wine Economists. The graph clearly shows France's historic ability to maintain and even substantially increase the premium prices of its exported wine, with accelerating prices starting in the year 2000 compensating for its loss of the top volume exporting position in recent years. #wine #winebusiness #france #osezlexport #choosefrance #vins #vinfrancais #export #madeinfrance #wine #exportsuccess #vinexpo #wineindustry #cci #businessfrance #exportations #fevs #biodynamic #bordeaux #bourgogne #loire #languedocroussillon
