It all started as a flex about the print-in-place capabilities of the SLS process. Yes, it failed the first time—clearances weren’t set right. The second attempt? Partial success. Convinced but not satisfied, we embarked on a journey of design exploration. This opened Pandora's box, uncovering a web of intricate design parameters. To move beyond guesswork, we devised a comprehensive study to delve deeper into these parameters. And today, I’m thrilled to share that our research has borne fruit! 📢 Excited to announce that our paper, "Investigating the Impact of Design Parameters on the Clearance in Non-Assembly Mechanisms Fabricated by Selective Laser Sintering" has been published in the prestigious journal, Progress in Additive Manufacturing! This study is a step forward in refining Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) guidelines, making them more robust for real-world applications. We believe this advances AM practices and brings us closer to sustainable, assembly-free production. Dear Sir/Madam, Greetings from Manipal-Government of Karnataka Bioincubator- BioNEST. Manipal-Government of Karnataka Bioincubator is organizing a hands-on workshop for those keen to learn and gain experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software and developing designs for Additive Manufacturing. This session aims to help attendees grasp the fundamentals of DFAM by bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and actual implementation. Participants will discover how to take use of additive manufacturing technology, experiment with different materials and procedures, and get practical CAD experience. Fostering creativity, improving product design, and advancing research and development all depend on this fundamental understanding. In addition, the workshop offers a forum for networking, cooperation, and idea sharing, enabling attendees to convert their ideas into real goods and solutions and fostering the expansion of the additive manufacturing sector.

At Udyama 1.0, students from NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad, in collaboration with IIT Palakkad, showcased an innovative "3D Additive Printer"! Crafted with a PET material body and programmed using Arduino, this device offers remarkable flexibility. Its nozzle can be customized into shapes like rectangles, triangles, or circles, and adjusted to any required diameter. It can easily be moved through all three axes. By incorporating a specialized concrete mixture, the printer efficiently dispenses material, simplifying and enhancing the construction process. An advanced, metal additive manufacturing printer is available at IIT Palakkad. ✨ Exciting Milestone Achieved! ✨ I’m thrilled to announce the publication of my first research paper in Elsevier, ScienceDirect - Journal of Manufacturing Processes. This research marks the first successful demonstration of processing AISI M2 tool steel using binder jetting. The paper, titled "Additive Manufacturing of AISI M2 Tool Steel by Binder Jetting (BJ): Investigation of Microstructural and Mechanical Properties", delves into the fascinating realm of binder jet additive manufacturing. It highlights how process parameters affect the microstructure and mechanical behavior of AISI M2 tool steel, paving the way for innovations in high-speed tooling applications. This research work would not have been possible without the incredible support and guidance I’ve received along the way. A huge thank you to Prof. Tushar Borkar and Prof. Dave Pierson for their mentorship and invaluable insights throughout this journey. as well as to Washkewicz College of Engineering at Cleveland State University and Cleveland State University for providing the resources and support that made this research possible. It's with great pride and gratitude that I share the news of being awarded a certificate for paper presentation at the International Conference On Mechanical Engineering Idea, Innovations & Initiatives (ICMEI3-2024). Our paper, titled as "Study the effects of process variables on the tensile strength of 3D printed parts" allowed us to delve into the intricate dynamics of additive manufacturing, exploring how various process variables impact the tensile strength of 3D printed components. It's truly gratifying to contribute to the body of knowledge in this rapidly evolving field, shedding light on crucial factors that shape the performance and durability of printed parts.
