Thousands of victims do not report out of fear or shame. But violence is not fought alone: let’s talk about it, denounce it, help.

There's a big demonstration in France today, actually several demonstrations: a) One is the farmers who have completely put the UK farmers to shame blocking supermarkets, pumping sludge onto government offices etc. b) But the real demonstration today is absolutely heart breaking, its the annual international day of the fight against violence towards women. Its about the increasing levels of violence in France! and in general public behaviour towards women. France is supposed to be the leader of Liberty, egality and fraternity. This message is carved in every building by Napoleon, but have the French become blind? or do they not show fraternity to their sisters and even their own daughters? It needs to be called out immediately! As a Father of two daughters and having seen how men behave towards women in clubs, yes disgusting rape drugs are prevalent here in SOF clubs, even the street here the language and behaviour is unacceptable, I am going to re-scribe the shocking statistics just in France - its time to call it out: a) 103 women died in 2023, and 110 so far this year to September killed by their partner! Yes the problem is increasing. One of those annual murders was in our street a husband killed his wife infront of her children because - he "loved her". Ridiculous! the same in UK, one of our close friends was killed by her partner who she trusted in her own bedroom? French men what is this choking trend in the bedroom? - its unacceptable stop immediately! Zero tolerance! b) 213,000 women suffered violence from their partner. c) 97.3% of aggressors were men. Complete cowards! Ill say it again - complete cowards! d) 85% of trans people have suffered acts of transphobia. e) 55% of lesbians have been violently assaulted. Disgusting! Again Complete cowards! f) 1/3 of women have been sexually harassed at work. g) 5 million people in France have been subjected to pedocriminality. h) A women rapped every 2 minutes 30 seconds, a child every 3 minutes. Absolutely Shocking! Linked in is not for Swearing but WTF! i) 80% of handicapped women have been victimes of violences. Again Cowards! The above are recorded cases - imagine the hundreds of thousands if not millions more cases that are not recorded. French Men - As with all men globally, stop being cowards - time to grow up! Master your emotions, master your body, be honourable! It is really time to get a grip of yourselves, also speak out about the men around you - zero tolerance, actually its only us men that can stop this as our sons learn heavily from us. I salute the women that are calling these cowards out - Well done, it takes courage, but we must give full support to those women calling out these disgusting behaviours. Vi state chiedendo: cos’è quel numero? Dall’inizio dell’anno, 91 donne in Italia sono state vittime di femminicidio. Dietro questo numero ci sono volti, storie, famiglie e vite spezzate troppo presto. E per ogni femminicidio, le vittime di abusi e violenze sono ancora più numerose. Non si tratta solo di un problema italiano: è una realtà che colpisce tutta Europa e il mondo intero.   In EPTA GROUP, crediamo che il silenzio non sia mai un’opzione. Per questo, in occasione della Giornata internazionale per l’eliminazione della violenza contro le donne, abbiamo avviato una campagna di comunicazione interna per informare e sensibilizzare su questo fenomeno, oltre a indicare i canali ufficiali di aiuto. È un piccolo passo verso una cultura basata sul rispetto, sull’ascolto e sull’uguaglianza, perché l’indifferenza non può essere una risposta.   I numeri non sono solo cifre: rappresentano persone. Ricordarlo è un atto di responsabilità che tutti condividiamo, per prevenire, educare e costruire relazioni basate sul rispetto reciproco. - - - Are you wondering: what is that number? Since the beginning of the year, 91 women in Italy have been victims of femicide. Behind this number there are faces, stories, families, and lives cut too short. And for every femicide, the victims of abuse and violence are even more numerous. This is not just an Italian problem: it is a reality that affects all of Europe and the entire world. At EPTA GROUP, we believe that silence is never an option. Therefore, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, we have launched an internal communication campaign to inform and raise awareness about this phenomenon, as well as to indicate official channels for help. It is a small step towards a culture based on respect, listening, and equality because indifference cannot be an answer. Numbers are not just figures: they represent people. Remembering this is an act of responsibility that we all share, to prevent, educate, and build relationships based on mutual respect.

Today is the UN's International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. At Medaille Trust, we're painfully aware of the terrible impact that Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG) has on survivors. Women are far more likely to be victims of forms of modern slavery like sexual exploitation, domestic servitude and forced marriage. Gendered violence can have a devastating effect on survivors, and recovery can be long and arduous. There's #NoExcuse for violence against women in our society. We say NO to violence against women and girls because about one in three (30%) women worldwide has experienced either physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence or non-partner sexual violence in their lifetime.
