🍁 Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁 Today, as we gather with loved ones and reflect on the past year, let's remember that gratitude is more than a one-day event. It's an opportunity to celebrate the big and small wins, the challenges that helped us grow, and the people who make our journeys meaningful. Whether you're spending the day with family, friends, or simply taking time for yourself, let's take a moment to acknowledge how far we've come—individually and as a community. This year, I’m especially thankful for the opportunity to work with inspiring leaders and organizations committed to creating more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces. As we move forward, let’s carry this spirit of gratitude into our daily lives, uplifting those around us and continuing to build a future where everyone feels valued and included. Wishing you all a joyful and peaceful Thanksgiving! 🍂 #Thanksgiving2024 #GratitudeEveryDay #ThankfulForYou #InclusiveLeadership #DEIInAction #BuildingBetterWorkplaces #DiversityMatters

Happy Saturday, everyone! Just a friendly reminder of "The Power of Appreciation." 💫 In a world where we're constantly on the move, it's easy to overlook the significance of the little things that truly matter. Take a moment to reflect on the impact of a simple "thank you." I once worked at a small business where the owner made it a habit to personally thank each employee weekly. These were simple gestures and heartfelt expressions of gratitude. Nothing grand, you may think. Yet, the result was an environment of highly motivated and inspired employees who felt valued and seen. As an employee myself, expressing gratitude to my bosses for their kindness was always a priority. While we deserve our compensation, gestures of appreciation can make a world of difference. Remember, appreciation is a reciprocal act. It not only boosts morale and builds loyalty but also reinforces the significance of our contributions. This weekend, let's all make an effort to show gratitude to those around us—our team, family, and friends. A small token of appreciation can create a ripple effect of positivity. 🌟 #Appreciation #Gratitude #Teamwork

Gratitude is a superpower we often underestimate. As Thanksgiving approaches, I’ve been reflecting on how a simple “Thank you” can transform personal and professional relationships. In the rush of our daily lives, it’s easy to overlook the small, meaningful gestures that strengthen connections and inspire trust. Each month, I prioritize reaching out to two people outside my immediate team—partners, collaborators, or stakeholders who’ve contributed to our success. A short email or a note of thanks—these small actions acknowledge their contributions, deepen our professional relationships, and foster a sense of collaboration. Within my team, I aim to express gratitude consistently. Whether recognizing a milestone achievement or appreciating the day-to-day dedication that keeps us moving forward, I’ve learned that a culture of recognition is critical to building a motivated and engaged workforce. As we celebrate this Thanksgiving with family and friends, I encourage us to look outward. Who in your network, workplace, or community deserves a “Thank you” today? A small gesture of appreciation can create a ripple effect of positivity and connection. I am wishing everyone a warm and grateful Thanksgiving! #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #Leadership #Teamwork #Collaboration #WorkCulture #Appreciation #PositiveImpact #ProfessionalGrowth #ThankYou

Today is Canadian Thanksgiving; a day to pause and reflect on what we are grateful for. But Thanksgiving isn’t the only day to consider the power of gratitude. A study done by Glassdoor found that 70% of employees would feel better about themselves if their boss was more grateful for the work they’ve done. They also found that 53% of employees would stay at their company longer if they felt more daily appreciation from their leaders. With that in mind, I propose you turn gratitude into a KPI. Like any behaviour, if you measure it, you are more likely to do it. Here’s how: ➡️ Make a list of all of the people that report up to you. ➡️ Make a separate list of your teammates. ➡️ Starting at the top of each list, each day give one person a compliment or acknowledgement of a piece of work you observe them do well. ➡️ Once you make your way through the lists, start again at the top. If you share one positive comment per day you will have shared 50 pieces of gratitude by the end of 2024. That is sure to make an impact on team culture.

🍂 Starting November with a Heart of Gratitude As we welcome the season of thankfulness, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the things that make our work meaningful. Research shows that gratitude in the workplace doesn’t just feel good—it boosts morale, increases engagement, and can even improve retention. When we recognize the positive moments and people in our professional lives, we create a culture that values and uplifts everyone. So, let’s take a moment to think: What’s one thing you’re grateful for at work? Maybe it’s a supportive colleague, a recent success, or a project that challenged you in all the best ways. Whatever it may be, share your gratitude in the comments, and let’s celebrate the little (and big!) things that make our workplaces better every day. Small gestures of appreciation go a long way in strengthening teams and building a connected, positive culture. 🌟 🍁 We’d love to hear from you—what makes you grateful at work? #GratitudeInTheWorkplace #TeamAppreciation #ThankfulAtWork #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeEngagement

Did you know that November is National Gratitude Month? Our internal team shares a weekly email where we discuss things we are grateful for. It is a way to share what is most important to us in our work and personally. Even though we work remotely, when we get together, we feel like we know each other because of this practice. I am so grateful I recently spent time with Lori Lite, Theresa Santoro,Kelsey Hufford, Taylor Stewart, Stacey Pomrenke, and Jacqueline Zirkle, PHR. Who can you share gratitude with? Tag them here! #NationalGratitudeMonth #gratitude #gratitudemonth

🅲🅴🅻🅴🅱🆁🅰🆃🅸🅽🅶 🅾🆄🆁 🅲🅾🅻🅻🅴🅰🅶🆄🅴 🅷🅰🅿🅿🆈 🅳🅰🆈🆂: 🅱🅴🅷🅸🅽🅳 🆃🅷🅴 🆂🅲🅴🅽🅴🆂 🎉 ... At our Office, every milestone big or small is a reason to celebrate, and our “Colleague Happy Days” have become a tradition we look forward to. Behind the scenes, it’s more than just an event; it’s a way of reminding each other that we’re seen, valued, and appreciated. ⏺️ From organizing a surprise board full of inspiring quotes our team members have shared to personal messages of appreciation, we make it a day that’s all about celebrating who they are and what they bring to our journey together. Here’s how it usually goes: Iheanacho Nwokearu once said, “Success is about the journey and the people with you.” It’s fitting that on their day, we surprise them with messages and moments from our journey together, highlighting how they’ve made each step meaningful. For Ugochi Jideofor-Okoro B.SC, MBA, ACIB , CSM true motivator who reminds us, “We’re only as strong as our unity,” we create a collage of moments where teamwork made the dream work. It’s amazing how revisiting these times reinforces the bond we share. And for those who constantly encourage us to grow, like Christiana Chilezie who always says, “Learn and lead with kindness,” we bring everyone together to share what we’ve learned from them. It’s heartwarming and shows how a simple act of kindness goes a long way. These days are a reminder of the positive impact each of us has on the team. The laughter, the camaraderie, and the genuine connection are what make us not just colleagues but a community. Celebrating “Colleague Happy Days” isn’t just a tradition—it’s a testament to our belief in lifting each other up. 👇 Yesterday was about Godwin Favour 🔥🌟 What about your team? Do you have a special way of celebrating each other behind the scenes? I’d love to hear your own stories and traditions that bring you together! #TeamCulture #CelebrateEachOther #BehindTheScenes #CompanyTraditions #WorkplaceCommunity #Growthmindset

🌟 Celebrating Support and Gratitude 🌟 In the fast-paced world of business, collaboration and support from colleagues outside of our departments play a crucial role in our success. Whether it's during a Turnaround (TAR) or day-to-day operations, the willingness of others to lend a helping hand deserves recognition and appreciation. Today, I want to shine a spotlight on the power of gratitude. Taking a moment to express thanks to those who go above and beyond, especially during challenging times like a TAR, can make a world of difference. It's about acknowledging the effort, dedication, and expertise that others bring to the table. And what better way to show appreciation than through the universal language of food? Sharing a meal or organizing a small gathering not only fosters camaraderie but also symbolizes the spirit of togetherness and support that defines a strong team. Let's remember that a simple "thank you" goes a long way in building positive relationships and nurturing a culture of gratitude in the workplace. So, here's to all the unsung heroes who support us behind the scenes – your contributions are truly valued and appreciated. 🌟🍽️ #GratitudeInAction #TeamAppreciation #BuildingStrongerConnections
