An epic evening celebrating brilliant women leading the way in such a vital sector🙌 Congratulations to all the winners, and huge thanks to the organisers for hosting such a supportive and inclusive night!
I had a doubt but decided to write.
My doubt was around knowing that I will not be the 1st but should not be the last to write about it. Also, this is around my feelings & experience. Nothing empiric.
I am 23 years in the HiTech industry.
When I started, there had been a minority of woman in the Tech. I have decided to educate whoever is around me and would like to listen, about the importance of increasing the number of women in technology.
I was truly hoping for increasing numbers. Not only because of what I did, but following some wonderful projects like #שוות etc.
Recently, I had a chance to take part in various meetups and conferences. All of them were around HiTech and Technology topics, like #cloudtechnology and #Devops.
Unfortunately, I have found myself in a dramatic minority. The ratio is 4:50.
People may say that this may be a niche profession. And will claim that a lot of women are already part of the industry.
I will not deny that, but will clarify my point: try to check what are the professions that women are involved in. I would say that less in the technical.
I hope that my impression is wrong…

Marketing Manager - Schleifenbauer PDUs | 🇳🇱 Crafted Dutch Power Distribution Units! Fast Lead Times, Free Customisation and No Minimum Order Quantities.
It was an honor to be featured in the new edition of Datacentered magazine (pages 70 & 71) with my view on how to get more women interested in the tech sector.
The text in the article reads as follows:
----
Activly creating opportunities for women in tech shuild be our priority!
I fully support the idea of joint efforts to empower women in the technology sector. It is crucial that we recognize and leverage the talent and perspectives of women, not only from an equality standpoint but also to foster innovation and progress.
Actively creating opportunities for women to start and thrive in tech careers should be our priority. This includes providing access to education and training, removing barriers, and offering mentorship and support.
As an employee of Schleifenbauer PDU's, a Dutch company specializing in the production of custom Power Distribution Units (PDUs) for Datacenters, I feel privileged to work in an environment that values diversity and inclusion. However, I am well aware that this is not the case for many women in the tech world. The gender gap remains a challenge and hinders the industry from fully realizing its potential.
When I started at Schleifenbauer in 2017, I was the only woman in a predominantly male environment. But with the company's growth, this balance has significantly improved. Currently, 40% of our workforce is female. These women were not only selected for their ambition to learn the trade but also for their unique contributions to our team. The result is remarkable; our female colleagues work with precision and efficiency, leading to significant growth in our PDU production capacity and an increase in quality.
Let's work together to overcome obstacles, challenge stereotypes, and build an inclusive and innovative tech sector where women can thrive fully. This sector is not only wonderful to work in but also has the potential to inspire countless women. Calling all women in tech! Share what makes our technical roles special and inspire other women by being a shining example.

Tech awaits your brilliance ladies. Embrace the challenge, break barriers, and inspire the world. Join us in shaping the future of technology.
Our very own Dami Munter is featured in the latest edition of Datacentered magazine! Dami has been an integral part of the Schleifenbauer team for 7 years, where she excels in designing PDUs for our valued clients, leading our inside sales team, and spearheading our marketing efforts.
With an background of 25 years in technical roles, Dami shares her invaluable insights on women in tech in this special issue of Datacentered (page 70 & 71). At Schleifenbauer, we pride ourselves on fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, and Dami's contributions are a testament to that commitment. Currently, our workforce boasts a strong representation of 40% female technicians.

I attended this seminar today on Bulletproofing Your Career in The Age of AI. Wow -women in AI are such passionate forward and thoughtful thinkers!
Felicita J Sandoval MSc., CFE's impressed with her futuristic vision of physical AI in our daily lives. Her insights on AI robots and emotional intelligence were eye-opening, highlighting both challenges and exciting career opportunities and need for AI literacy.
This future isn't just about technology, it's about new roles bridging AI and human needs.
Her thought-provoking scenarios:
🏥 AI Robots in hospitals: Can robot nurses comfort scared or lonely patients? We must teach AI to understand human emotions.
🏠 Robot tutors: Helpful for math, but what about a creative kid who'd rather paint than practice adding and subtracting? Can the AI handle a child's tantrum?
❤️ Teaching AI about love: Beyond romance - love for hobbies, nature, family. Can AI ever truly feel and identify love without ambiguity? Or will emotional nuances always be a challenge?
The panel stressed AI governance and community involvement. Key takeaway: We know the challenges, but what are we doing about them?
Remember: Learning about AI is like trying new foods. Explore widely to understand our changing world better.
bumping this one as the survey closes this week - would love to have your thoughts and insights if you haven't already contributed. Thanks in advance !!
