𝐈 𝐫𝐮𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬! to 𝐈 𝐫𝐮𝐧 𝐚 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬! doesn't look like much of a difference right but when I hear myself saying it out loud or even typing it - it feels like subconsciously I am playing it down - It's not a small community of coaches by any means it's a 100+ community... So I usually now use the word growing community for introducing the community to other fellow coaches! The Tribe of Coaches is a growing community of Coaches, enabling - Peer coaching, - Networking sessions online and offline. - QnA sessions with a PCC coach. - Live demos of a good coaching session - Mentoring sessions for a new coach - ICE exam preparation - Coaching labs - Knowledge sharing sessions and more.. some sessions come with a value proposition that comes with monetary exchanges and most sessions are also with a value exchange done in a Seva Manobhav - paying things forward! So we are growing, thriving community of Coaches - not a small community.. just that simple shift in thought makes a difference in the way we show up and the vice versa! Just drop a message to join in.. #wordsmakeourworld #shiftinperspective #coaching #icfcoach #coachingcommunity

Friday Facilitation Hack Great facilitators remember what it is like to be a participant. This wisdom was shared with me by a teacher and mentor in graduate school. She reminded our class that... 🎖 the best doctors remember what it is like to be a patient. 🎖the best judges remember what it is like to be a lawyer. 🎖the best parents remember what it is like to be a child. 🎖the best experts remember what it is like to be a novice. 🎖the best teachers remember what it is like to be a student. Over the years, this wisdom has been a touchpoint as a facilitator. It has helped me think about... 💡 pacing 💡the amount of content in a session 💡comforts like breaks, room temperature, hospitality 💡making room to think and discuss Experience and expertise do not guarantee good facilitation. A willingness to consider the POV of your participants and create a meaningful experience just might. Roots & Legacies Consulting, Inc. #facilitation #facilitationhack #continousimprovement

How do you improve your #facilitationskills? Today I attended my regular Facilitators Forum – a group of us who get together and reflect on our recent work, to learn and develop together. Here’s what we learned today: ✔️ Many issues in the room can be put down to not contracting effectively beforehand. Clarity on outcomes, expectations, politics, sponsorship, what-if’s etc make a huge difference, but we don’t always get the time and access to the right people to have these conversations. ✔️ Taking time to celebrate successes and spend time in our own lives is important. We need to fill up our own buckets. ✔️ There is a balance to be struck between blasé and over-prepared/anxious. We don’t always get it right and that’s OK. ✔️ We’ll never know enough to consider every eventuality in advance. Sometimes we have to take a leap of faith and see what happens. ✔️ The questions and comments we make sometimes have a far-reaching impact on others. Be aware of the ripples you create. What have you learned recently from reflecting on your facilitation practice 🤔? #teamcoaching #reflectivepractice #facilitation #facilitator

Facilitation is a learnt skill, but it takes considerable time to practice in order to be an truly effective facilitator. The biggest challenge is that facilitated events often require a neutral, impartial, unbiased facilitator. If your event or workshop involves a subject or topic for which you need a good result, then you might not be the best person to facilitate it. What are your options? Professional facilitation is often a good route. Talk with us! We might be able to help you. https://lnkd.in/eeefwhhy #facilitation #scienceleadership #coachingdevelopment

The Group Coaching HQ Group Coaching Festival got off to a great start yesterday and I really valued the sessions I attended delivered by Allison Nelson, Stephanie McCarthy, Ana Paula Nacif and Karen Palmer, ACC, CPC, ELI-MP. So much to think about and some really great insights around how adults learn, staying present, building connection and belonging, and creating a psychological safe space. Ready to go again later today 🙌🏼 #groupcoaching #CPD #careerdevelopment #bestpractice
