After last night's #Superbowl ad onslaught, it feels like a great time to remind everyone why shopping for #toys on #temu is never the way to go. In September, I analyzed dozens of toys found on Temu, looked at hundreds of product listings, and even bought a few products to compare them to the toys they were blatantly knocking off. In addition to all of the issues with their labor practices and data mining, Temu is full of counterfeit toys that are potentially unsafe for kids. No reputable toy companies list or sell their products on Temu. Many toys do not have any proof of safety testing, and so many listings use the work of reputable toy makers in their marketing without permission. It's stealing. It's illegal. And, most importantly, it puts our children at risk. I’ve been wondering about Temu and others like it. Great article Marissa Silva. As a supplier in the children's toy industry, it's crucial to address a growing concern: the proliferation of alleged counterfeit toys on platforms like Temu. While the appeal of rock-bottom prices is undeniable, the true cost might be higher than we think. Temu, known for its unbeatable deals across toys, apparel, and more, has come under scrutiny for allegedly listing counterfeit products, including toys that mimic those from reputable brands, without adhering to safety and quality standards. A case in point involves alleged counterfeit versions of popular toys like Educational Insights's Kanoodle and Fat Brain Toys' dimpl digits, sold at a fraction of their retail price. These knock-offs not only deceive consumers with false advertising but also bypass critical U.S. safety standards for toys, posing significant risks to children. The issue extends beyond the immediate dangers of unsafe products. Counterfeit toys often result from unethical labor practices and compromise on quality and durability. Such practices can have a lasting impact on brand reputation and consumer trust. In our commitment to safety and quality, we urge consumers to purchase toys from trusted retailers and manufacturers. Investing in genuine products ensures that children receive safe, high-quality toys that foster learning and development. Let's prioritize the well-being of our children and support ethical manufacturing practices. Together, we can make a difference in the toy industry. #ToySafety #EthicalManufacturing #SupportGenuineProducts #ThinAirBrands

Launching DNCR was a wild ride, but I hit a major hiccup early on. 🚧 We started by targeting dancers who wanted to master choreography and go pro. But here’s what we learned: Most people aren’t trying to become professional dancers. They just want to feel a little more comfortable and confident on the dance floor. So this year, we shifted gears. 🔄 We’re making our courses more accessible, fun, and beginner-friendly – creating a space where anyone can dance, no matter their skill level. Finding that product-market fit has been everything. If you’re facing roadblocks in your business, don’t be afraid to pivot. Listen to your audience and adapt. #ProductMarketFit #TargetAudience
