In an era defined by advanced technology and AI, it is surprising that for many companies and recruiters, providing feedback to candidates who were not selected for further stages remains a significant challenge. Sending a brief response to all applicants, even if it’s simply a polite rejection, could greatly benefit candidates who invested time and effort into the process (CV and letter of intent, other documents and even to fill certain required details on the company’s website). Given the tools available, sending automated responses could be done seamlessly, minimizing the impact on the hiring team’s workload. This feedback is often invaluable for candidates, many of whom put their hopes into these applications and may delay other opportunities while waiting for an answer. Recognizing the candidate’s commitment by offering timely feedback, whether positive or negative, is a meaningful gesture that reflects well on the organization.
