Companies are still confused while writing the job description of Data Analyst Roles. There are two types of roles , I mostly encountered. I fall in the type A Type A: Data Analyst ( Combo of Data Analyst skills + Business Analyst skills) Type B: Data Analyst ( Combo of Data Analyst skills + Data Engineering skills) Some companies want type C as well ( Combo of Data Engineer + Data Analyst + Business Analyst)

Interviewing Data Analysts - Senior & Junior When you interview Senior Analysts you should ask questions about data experience. You can assume a breadth of tool experience, and related tool experience can substitute at this level. When you interview Junior Analysts you should ask questions about tools. They have no meaningful data experience, maybe just some pilot projects. You can assume senior analysts will provide direction with data. #data #database #dataanalyst

I’m thrilled to share my story, featured on DataAnalyst.com! 🎉 I had the pleasure of speaking with Alex K., founder of DataAnalyst.com, about my journey into data analytics, transitioning into a senior role, and the importance of curiosity and continuous learning. 📈 In the interview, I reflect on: • Practical advice for aspiring data analysts, like starting with SQL and learning to think critically about the “why” behind the numbers. • How curiosity, problem-solving, and a willingness to learn matter more than perfection. • The shift from delivering insights as a Data Analyst to influencing strategy and mentoring others in a Senior role. This was a great opportunity to reflect on how far I’ve come and where I want to go next in my career. 💻 Check out the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/dgY7xzTM A big thank you to Alex for the opportunity to share my journey—I hope it inspires others in their data career.
