A gush of nostalgia. A burst of emotions. Look how time turns. This very day, 45 years back, this very building. This very board. Except the change in the logo's colour. I collected from here, this Delhi Divisional Office of this MNC, the revised appointment letter for my first job. Revised, because I was asked to join at Ahmedabad and not Delhi as per the original offer. The rest, as they say, could be called logistical history. Or personal history or sales history. I joined at Ahmedabad 12 days later. To be finally posted at Jaipur branch, reporting to the Ahmedabad Divisional Office, after a month long induction. And all my friends know about my connect with Ahmedabad and my wonderful relationship with this city. I'm a proud Avery man, never mind what has happened to the company in the last 20 odd years. I had never expected to go to this area on this particular day that i took this pic. But destiny took me there. As did the market. To train young sales professionals at a tea company. 😀 Coincidentally, it was the hottest day in 2016. The day Ahmedabad hit a 50. And Delhi wasn't far behind. And here we were, walking the market, selling varieties of tea, energised by the building and the board. Phoenix Mills Q1 Update Consumption (i.e. retailer sales) in Q1 FY25 at ~Rs. 3,214 cr, up 25% over Q1 FY24. Gross Retail collections stood at ~Rs. 794 cr in Q1 FY25, up ~28% over Q1 FY24. Commercial Offices: Strong leasing traction seen in Q1 FY25, with gross leasing of ~1.51 lakh sq. ft. in the currently operational assets at Kurla, Mumbai and Vimannagar, Pune. Residential: Sales trajectory has seen good improvement backed by strong demand and faster conversions.
