I still remember my very first job as a flight stewardess with SriLankan Airlines. The excitement of traveling to new places was matched only by the challenge of making a positive impression on passengers and my fellow crew members. In those early days, I quickly learned that being likable wasn’t just about providing excellent service—it was about genuinely connecting with people. I started asking my colleagues about their day and their interests, listening actively and showing that I cared. It made a world of difference in building trust and rapport. Offering help became second nature, whether it was assisting a colleague with their duties or stepping in during a busy flight. These small acts of support were always appreciated and helped forge strong bonds within the team. A simple smile went a long way. No matter how tired or stressed I felt, smiling not only made me more approachable but also uplifted those around me. Maintaining a positive outlook, even in turbulent times, made the work environment much more pleasant and cohesive. And then there was the power of appreciation. Regularly acknowledging my colleagues’ efforts with a heartfelt 'thank you' or 'well done' created an atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement. These gestures, though small, had a significant impact on our team dynamics. These early experiences taught me invaluable lessons that I’ve carried throughout my career. 🌟 Watch my video to learn how you can transform your workplace relationships and create a positive, supportive environment! 🌟 #ProfessionalGrowth #WorkplaceRelationships #BeLikable #CareerSuccess #PositiveWorkplace #TeamBuilding

The Challenge of Retaining Talents: A Former Employee's Personal Reflection on Malaysia Airlines' Struggles It is with a heavy heart that I reflect on the current state of Malaysia Airlines (MAS). Having been attached to MAS two decades ago, I have always held a deep respect and affection for the company. However, recent developments have left me deeply saddened. The airline, which once stood as a symbol of national pride, is now facing significant challenges that threaten its future. Malaysia Airlines has experienced a series of safety incidents that have raised concerns about its reliability. From flights turning back due to cabin pressure issues to emergency landings prompted by engine troubles, the airline has been under intense scrutiny. In addition to these operational difficulties, Malaysia Airlines is grappling with a talent retention crisis. The company is urgently seeking to hire 63 engineers and technicians to replace those who have been lured away by competitors such as Singapore Airlines. This talent drain is particularly concerning in an industry where safety and technical expertise are paramount. Losing skilled professionals not only affects the airline's ability to maintain safety standards but also impacts its capacity to innovate and improve. As someone who was once attached to Malaysia Airlines, I am deeply troubled by these developments. The airline's struggles are not just about operational issues; they reflect a broader challenge of retaining talent and maintaining a high standard of service. If these problems are not addressed promptly, Malaysia Airlines risks losing more than just market share — it could lose the trust and confidence of passengers and stakeholders alike. The aviation industry is unforgiving, where even minor lapses can have catastrophic consequences. If the airline fails to address these issues, the long-term consequences could be dire, not only for the company but also for Malaysia's reputation in the global aviation market. I sincerely hope that Malaysia Airlines can overcome these challenges and restore its reputation as a safe and reliable carrier. For the sake of all those who have worked for and flown with the airline, I urge the management to take swift and decisive action to rectify these issues and prevent further erosion of trust. I remember a time when Malaysia Airlines was not just an airline but a source of national pride. It is my hope that with the right leadership and commitment to safety and excellence, Malaysia Airlines can once again soar to great heights. https://lnkd.in/gkMGcFQF #Talent #Retention #CorporateTraining #HRDF #IndustrialTraining #Workforce #DrSueHere #DrSueWrites #DrSue #Reflection #Management #Leadership

I don't want to criticize because it was an accident, but I wonder why instead of filming the scene he or she didn't shout or ran to warn his colleague, not to take out the ladder! In my humble opinion, this accident could have been avoided. This is the example of how important situational awareness is, especially during the operation. One of the most important thing in aviation: safety first and situational awareness!
A ground staff member at Indonesia’s Jakarta airport suffered a sudden fall after two other workers removed the stepladder as he was stepping outside the TransNusa Airbus A320 as the crew prepared to take off. Wishing the ground staff a speedy recovery Taking the safety precautions! Communication and coordination are vital in our work! Specially during time pressure! Stay safe Video source unknown . . #transnusaairlines #groundstafff #aviation #jakarta #indonesia #pilotamireh #a320 #aviationsafety #safety

Malaysia’s largest city, national capital and primary global lure forms the perfect setting for tourists and business executives alike as a consequence of a diversity which can take you down the most naturally eerie of caves one second, and up the most impressive of manmade towers, the next. For the visiting business traveller, some of these wider connotations and repercussions can be lost of course, but at eye level, the significance and magnitude of the city is every bit as striking. From the towering Petronas and Menara KL structures to the winding cultural offerings of the city’s Chinatowns and markets – and every world-renowned eatery and bar in-between – Kuala Lumpur really does have it all. #businesstravelmanagement #travelmanagement #travelmanagementcompany #destinationmanagementcompany #corporatetravelmanagers #corporatetravelcompany #destinationmanagement #riskmanagementtravel #travelriskmanagementcompany #travelmanagementservices #leisuretravel
