Are you making this common mistake on your CV? Many fail to quantify their achievements, sticking only to duties. Inject numbers into your experience! “Increased sales by 30%”, “Managed a team of 10”. It gives concrete evidence of your capabilities. Remember, specifics sell. Instead of just listing responsibilities, showcase how you excelled in those roles. _ _ _ _ _ Found this useful? Hit the like button and share with someone who could use this tip. I caught a candidate in a lie! While interviewing for a position, I asked the candidate to tell us about herself and she did. As she was talking, I was actively listening while scrolling through her CV. When she was done talking, I asked her about a job experience that she failed to mention because on her CV, she left the job a few months back. Then she goes, oh I didn’t want to talk about it because I spent just 3 months on the job and I was like huh??🤔 So I tell her, I’m seeing your duration on that job was over a year, then we both burst out laughing. There was a caught!!! She tries to explain, but I tell her not to worry, that I understand. Dear job seekers, padding of your CV isn’t bad, just try to remember what you put down on your CV. Also avoid including skills or softwares that you don’t have or have never used. #AbujaHr #Recruitmentstories #HR

Attention job seekers! It is crucial to address a few observations I've made while recruiting. When applying for positions, let's make the process smoother and more effective. Instead of sending your resume blindly, take a moment to craft a thoughtful message detailing your interest in the role, your relevant experience and why you're a great fit. Remember to include a clear subject line indicating the job title. Additionally, if you come across a job opening and reach out via inbox, please attach your resume even if you've expressed interest. This ensures we have all the necessary information to consider your candidacy promptly. Let's streamline the hiring process together for better outcomes! #JobApplicationTips #HiringProcess #LinkedInNetworking

Staying informed about the job market is always a good idea. How can you be absolutely sure you’re in the right place if you haven’t considered other opportunities? 🤷♀️ If your circumstances change and you’re thinking about a move, having an up-to-date CV and a few conversations with recruiters can give you a real advantage. Not sure why you should update your CV if you’re staying in the same role? Here’s why: New Skills and Achievements: Picked up new skills, gainedcertifications, or completed significant projects recently? Make sure your CV reflects these to highlight your growing expertise. Career Progression: Taken on extra responsibilities or achieved any milestones? Updating your CV to showcase these achievements demonstrates your professional growth. Professional Growth: Even if you’re not job-hunting, a current CV helps you stay prepared for future opportunities and reflects your career journey. So, if you’re happy in your current role, would you still be open to a friendly chat with a recruiter? Let me know your thoughts! And here’s something to keep in mind: ‘No thanks, I’m quite happy in my current role.’ It’s a response I hear often, and I totally understand! You don’t need to be unhappy or actively job-hunting to have a chat with a recruiter. Keeping your CV updated is always a wise move, even if you’re not actively looking for a new role.
