This annual 10-day extravaganza not only showcases the best cowboys and cowgirls competing for world championships but also generates significant economic benefits for the city. Visitor Numbers and Economic Impact The economic impact of the NFR on Las Vegas is substantial. A 2019 study by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) estimated that the event generates over $100 million in direct visitor spending annually. The event is June 6-8, but let's break that schedule down ⬇️ It's officially a three-day event, but check out the breakdown of what each day looks like commitment-wise. Thursday, June 6 - Trivia Competition at Naked River Brewing Co. from 5-8 PM - You'll only need to send 5 people to represent the company, although you're welcome to bring more to cheerlead/support/have some drinks Friday, June 7 - Bowling Competition at Spare Time from 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM - You'll send 5-10 people to represent the company on the bowling team. You can pick a time from 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM to stop by, whatever your team prefers. Saturday, June 8 - The Field Day Event at Finley Stadium and First Horizon Pavilion - Officially 7:30 AM - 4 PM - This is the day you want the entire company to come out. It's way more fun if you have everyone come out and stay/tailgate all day, but if you have employees who need to pop in and out, they are welcome to. Corporate Challenge is flexible so people can still participate even if they can't stay all day. It's also family-friendly - families are more than welcome to come out and support, although they cannot physically participate in the challenges.

Excited to share insights from our recent Athennian CX Summit! 🚀 Last week, our Customer Experience team gathered in Florida, with some joining in-person and others virtually, from around 11 locations across North America. Here are some key takeaways: 🎯 Aligned Priorities: We had a task to pinpoint the most pressing challenge facing our department and propose solutions. Surprisingly, without any prior communication between different teams, we all independently identified the same challenge during our presentation time. This synchronized alignment allowed us to hit the ground running, and we immediately jumped into solutions. Had this been conducted virtually, the process could have stretched over a couple of months as we navigated the complexities of aligning the perspectives of more than 20 individuals. 👥 In-Person Collaboration: While I appreciate the conveniences that new technologies offer for virtual connections, nothing quite compares to the experience of building relationships in person. The summit provided an amazing opportunity to connect with colleagues face-to-face, meet new faces and engage in real, meaningful conversations. We showed how easy it is to fix a problem when multiple people jump to help, bringing diverse perspectives. But also, meeting someone in person allows you to connect on a personal level, not just as colleagues, but as friends too. 🤝 💼 Employee Experience (EX): Early this year for the first time I heard about the official correlation between CX & EX and how valuable it is. Understanding how the satisfaction and engagement of our employees directly influence the experiences of our customers has fundamentally shifted my perspective. It shows how important it is the prioritization of EX initiatives alongside CX efforts, recognizing that a positive employee experience lays the foundation for exceptional customer experiences. Fantastic week at ICMJ northern conference. Meeting and networking with fellow peers and industry professionals. Learning about the cattle supply chain from the paddock right through to the plate. Some key takeaways relevant to the producer/feedlot sector: - The potential profit that stands to be lost from the mishandling of cattle before slaughter -New and upcoming policy changes in the beef industry (EUDR) -The importance of traceability in the supply chain and the exciting new technology being developed to assist in this.

I've been playing golf in Sussex for the last 7/8 years - I'm very often the only POC on the course and almost always the only POC at any corporate golf event. Some of the 'incidents' I've experienced over that time on reflection have been outright racism (don't call me Tiger Woods please, its boring now). Last week was the first time I have ever played without that narrative (because I arranged it) and it poses a big question. Where’s the Diversity in Golf? Corporate Golf is often seen as a cornerstone of corporate networking, but the lack of diversity is an issue that many are reluctant to address. Whether it's gender, race, or socioeconomic background, golf and particularly corporate golf events, remain strikingly homogenous. To Businesses and Golf Clubs: What Are You Doing About It? In a time where Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are at the forefront of corporate values, it’s astonishing to see such little progress in the world of golf. How can we promote inclusivity in the workplace but exclude it from the very spaces where business relationships are built? Are you actively creating initiatives to diversify participation? Do you have programs to introduce golf to underrepresented communities? Are there mentorship opportunities within your corporate golf events for diverse employees? If not, why not? It’s time for businesses and golf clubs to step up and make meaningful changes. Diversity isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a necessity for growth, innovation and true inclusion.
