Yes, most of your meeting can be an email.
If you NEED to meet, make sure you optimize your time by doing any of the work possible before the meeting happens and save the precious hour to discuss and make the big decisions.
I’ve had a leader do something similar, where they’d took the salary of everyone and found out the hourly rate that that meeting and threw the number at us,
“This meeting is costing us $400 an hour.” And we’ve spent 1/3 of that talking.”
✅ Use the notes feature in the meeting invites to ask the questions beforehand so people come prepared with answers.
✅ Give outlines of project statuses, bottlenecks, needs, etc., before the meeting not during.

Alright that’s my rant for today.
Imagine if everytime you had a meeting, your company added up the direct salary cost of everyone involved.
Then had you report later on the direct ROI of the meeting.
How much more effective would meetings be? 😅

Go ahead and negotiate friend…recruiters are expecting you to.
But keep in mind, especially right now as budgets are getting tight, that salary isn’t the ONLY thing you can negotiate. You can negotiate:
* Job title
* Vacation Days
* Work Days
* Bonuses
* 401k Match
* Continuing Education
* Certification Costs
* Professional Memberships
Don’t be afraid to negotiate. I know some people are afraid that their offer might get rescinded if they negotiate. I’ll be honest, if that happens it’s a good indication this wasn’t the place you wanted to work.
