#Stress is at an all-time high in the workplace. A recent survey by the American Psychological Association says 77% of American workers reported stress at work in the last month, and 57% experienced negative health results as a result. Yikes! The good news is, stress is something we can manage. I started AdaRose because I was so stressed out myself (in the middle of pandemic lockdown), and I wanted to find ways for me—and others—to better manage our health and wellbeing, even with a lot of constraints. A few years on, my partner Lauren and I have experimented and evolved the company a lot, always iterating on a unique combination of online and offline components to engage people virtually in wellbeing. We started off building a spa in a box experience that made a great gift for a friend or loved one. But we found that it was more effective to reach people at work in the context of an organization—there's nothing like (positive) peer pressure to help you make a positive change! So now we work B2B—helping companies with hybrid and remote workforces support their employees in managing stress through experiences like our work break in a box (and yeah, companies can do a virtual spa experience too!). ✨ Want to know what's motivating some of the employees we've worked with recently to manage their stress through our programs? Check out their words, below. Do any of them resonate with you? And let me know if you want to set up your own stress-busting experience! #workplacewellness #healthinnovation #entrepreneurship cc Lauren Creech, Franky Spangler, Patrick Stephenson, Wendy Price, Wendy Wason, Amy West, Michael Hatfield, Shannon (McDonald) Clement, Junell Venord, MPS, SHRM-SCP, Megan Antonelli, Janae Sharp, Laurent Guinand, Ph.D., 🏁Guc Ozenci, Elizabeth Grabosky, Kim Sandmaier, Jennifer Zanone

Our team is fully remote, but we've built a culture of trust and connection. Here are some of the things we do here to counter lonliness: ✨ Weekly OKR Meeting: We kick off Monday highlighting our goals, reviewing to-dos based on accounts, and talk about our weekends. ✨ Weekly 1:1s: Managers all have 1:1s where the direct report informs the agenda for the meeting. ✨ Bi-Weekly IDS Sessions: We have a running issue list and we tackle issues together as a team, no issue is too big / small to add to the issue list. ✨ Weekly Recruiter Happy Hours: Our recruiters meet in small groups without me or Alex Nelson to shoot the shit and discuss any challenges they might be facing. This gives them good bonding time and time to work out problems before bringing it to the whole group. ✨ Huddles: we maybe huddle too much, but we love to ping each other when we're feeling stuck or just want a thought partner on something. ✨Friday Wrap Up: We always wrap up our weeks, highlighting our accomplishments, anything that didn't get done and why, some fun icebreaker questions, and chit chat about our weekend. Showing people they can bring their whole selves to work and getting to know each other beyond who we are at work is critical. ✨ Annual Off-Site: ours is coming up in December and this is my favorite time because I still think it's so important to spend time in person. We'll be focusing on 2025 planning, working through some more meaty IDS topics, meeting with clients / candidates, etc. If you are in San Francisco, send us a note if you want to meet up! What else do you do?

This Loneliness Awareness Week we are curious to know how your workplace tackles loneliness? Loneliness is linked to depression and anxiety. Far more common than you may think, workplace loneliness is not something that is isolated to remote workers. For example, employees who are surrounded by teams of people may feel disconnected from their team, or the wider organisation, which can lead to feelings of isolation. It's why organisations should make every effort to foster a culture which enables employees to build social connections. By supporting employees to feel more engaged and connected with each other, organisations are more likely to reduce loneliness across teams. 😟Feeling stressed at work? 💻You're not alone. Recent research shows that digital workers are increasingly overwhelmed, facing either too much or too little information. Both extremes can lead to significant stress and burnout. 📰A recent study found that all digital workplace demands had positive correlations with workplace stress: the more under pressure people felt, the more stressed they were, regardless of what kind of pressure that was. 😟Feeling overloaded with information, or like one might be missing out on it, were both particularly detrimental to workers' general wellbeing and levels of stress. ✉️Workplaces should think carefully about how much information workers should be expected to consume. Can information be streamlined to ensure people aren't overwhelmed? 💚At Cairns Counselling, we understand the unique challenges of the digital age. Whether you're struggling with information overload or feeling disconnected, we're here to help you navigate the pressures of modern work life. #CairnsCounselling #WorkPlaceWellness #MentalHealth #DigitalWorking #InformationOverload #StressManagement #CounsellingServices #MentalWellbeing #ModernWorkLife

🌿 **Today is Stress Awareness Day!** 🌿 In a small business, every team member’s wellbeing is essential. Stress impacts productivity, morale, and creativity—things we all rely on to succeed! Here are some ways micro businesses can support wellbeing in their workplace, without needing a big budget. 1️⃣ **Foster Open Communication**: Make it easy for employees to voice concerns by having regular check-ins. This not only reduces stress but can also help address issues early on. 2️⃣ **Encourage Breaks**: Simple, regular breaks help refresh the mind and body. A quick walk, a few minutes of deep breathing, or a screen break can make a real difference. 3️⃣ **Lead by Example**: Show that you prioritise wellbeing by managing your own stress and taking breaks. When leadership models healthy practices, it sends a powerful message. 4️⃣ **Flexible Working Hours**: When possible, offer a bit of flexibility. For many, a little extra time for personal responsibilities can reduce stress. Supporting wellbeing doesn’t need to be complex—small changes can have a big impact. Let’s work together to create happier, healthier workplaces! 💪✨ #StressAwarenessDay #WellbeingatWork #SmallBusinessWellbeing
