I Told HR No to ChatGPT Pro. Turns Out, I Was Very Wrong! I saw a video from Boring Business Nerd about AI and its role in productivity gains. After reading the article "The AI Bubble is Reaching a Tipping Point" from Sequoia, it became even clearer to me—AI is truly more about driving productivity than making money from subscriptions. Let me give you a real-life example from this week: I use ChatGPT for everything because I do a lot of analysis and image generation—two totally different worlds, but hey, you've got to wear different hats! So, when Nor Kamaliah asked for ChatGPT Pro, I immediately told her she didn’t need it because she was mainly using it for emails. I know that stung a little, but as the COO, you have to manage costs. Even though it’s only USD 20, I knew that amount would eventually multiply across teams. Fast forward a few months, and she had to write 60+ emails, pulling data from COSMOS (our Leadapreneur innovation platform). She had to look at 60+ profiles, review individual achievements, and write personalized emails about each participant's success. Last year, we did this, and it took us an entire week! This time, I used ChatGPT, gave it the instructions, took "Print page" PDFs of each profile, uploaded them, and boom—one email written in 1 second. In 60 seconds, 60 emails were done - almost. See what we did there? I handed that over to Kamaliah and told her to go for Pro. She later told me it saved her six hours. I’m pretty sure she’s lying—it saved her way more! 😂 But that’s just ONE example of how AI is helping me and my team. The inspiration for cutting down time and improving productivity actually comes from the work we do at Leadapreneur with our clients. We run an innovation program called Battlefield BAU, and it’s all about driving productivity gains. The hours these heroes are saving are incredible to see in action! And just at the launch of #Llama3 and Databricks #DBRX, a bold move to make it natural from ground up in computing. "OPEA’s other endeavors are a bit up in the air at the moment. But Haddad floated the potential of open model development along the lines of Meta’s expanding Llama family and Databricks’ DBRX. Toward that end, in the #OPEA repo, Intel has already contributed reference implementations for a generative-AI-powered chatbot, document summarizer and code generator optimized for its Xeon 6 and Gaudi 2 hardware."
