📱 New Project in Development - Freelancer Services Platform! I’m currently working on developing the frontend for an application that connects freelancers and service buyers, similar to platforms like Fiverr. This project is part of a collaboration with one of my clients. The goal of this application is to create an innovative platform that facilitates smooth communication and professional transactions between freelancers and clients, making it easier to find the right talent and get tasks done efficiently. 🔍 Key features of the app include: - 👤 Account creation and login: A seamless and secure registration experience for users. - 🔑 Password recovery: "Forgot password" functionality for easy account recovery. - 💬 Direct communication with freelancers: Built-in messaging system for negotiating and sharing project details. - 💳 Secure online payment: Reliable electronic payment methods for smooth financial transactions. - 📊 Client and freelancer tracking: Management system for monitoring user activities and their projects. - ⭐ Freelancer ratings: Ability to rate freelancers based on work quality and communication. The frontend is designed to be user-friendly, utilizing the latest design technologies to offer an intuitive and interactive experience. The new letter to Dribbble's shareholders reveals — Dribbble wants to be the # 1 place to hire freelance designers and make money by taking a cut on contract transactions. Now they are adjusting their business model to do so. A few years ago to make money they started to monetise the designers side introducing paywalls and messaging limits. Now they are reversing that. Last month they brought in a new CEO who worked at Fiverr and Pond5 to deliver on that vision. Last week they announced removing the paywall. They are sacrificing the revenue from designers, hoping to earn from the contract transactions in the future. What does it mean for designers? Two things: First — don't give up on Dribbble completely yet, especially if you're a freelance designer. Dribbble has the best positioning to become the # 1 place for (freelance) designers to find work and it may eventually happen. Second — stay tuned, we are likely to see some significant updates coming from Dribbble later this year 👀

What most freelancers do: 1. Look at the marketplace. 2. See what everyone else offers. 3. Take the average. 4. Go slightly below to remain ‘competitive’. 5. Provide what their competitors offer with a ‘little more’. They end up with a value proposition of ‘more for less’. Fiverr and Payoneer need to pay attention to their fee structure. Why charge high fees and low exchange rates? Suppose a freelancer spends a whole week on a project to make $100 Straight $20 goes to Fiverr's fee and after that transfer on Payoneer it will get $77 which is a $3 deposit fee by Payoneer After that onwithdrawl again payoneer make earning from lowes market rates and freelancer face challenges with Local bank and Tax as well. Barely, he got around 55-60 USD deposit in his pocket. A business should be able to function without you as it scales and stabilizes 9. Pitch one solid logomark/identity system instead of several 10. Your employees come first, then your clients, then you (and if you are a studio of one, you are your employee and should know your worth).
