I'm thrilled to share a recent project I've been working on: a Computer Vision-Based Firefighting Robot designed to enhance fire detection and suppression in challenging environments. The robot integrates advanced computer vision with traditional sensors to achieve two-way verification for fire detection: 1️⃣ Camera Detection: Using a trained MobileNet-SSD model, deployed on a Raspberry Pi, the robot identifies fire through live video feed. 2️⃣ Flame Sensor Verification: Once the robot moves closer to the suspected fire, the flame sensor confirms the presence of fire. 🌟 Key Features: Obstacle Avoidance: The robot is capable of autonomous navigation, dynamically adjusting its path to avoid obstacles while approaching the fire scene.
