Marking my first year as CEO of Olympia Group of Companies, I had the opportunity in my interview to Kathimerini to reflect on our journey and share our vision for the future. In my conversation with Dimitris Delevegos, we delved into some of the key strategies and insights that have shaped our path. In the interview, I discuss our approach to fostering value creation across our investment ecosystems, particularly in energy, software, and retail. We’ve achieved notable milestones (with our partners) with the acquisition of Entersoft—one of the largest tech transactions in Central and Eastern Europe this year—underscoring our commitment to expanding Olympia’s impact in the tech space. Business management software is a core pillar for the digital transformation of the country and we are proud to be the catalyst of such change. I also share Sunlight’s success story with having over 20 years of experience and already boasts the world’s largest, most modern gigafactory for the production of lead cells serving major corporations in Europe and America, whilst we have best in class assembly lines for lithium batteries. I am highlighting, however, the competitive dynamics in battery production amid global shifts in supply chain dependencies and technological advancements. We all need to reflect carefully on the impact of technology, current and emerging geopolitics and financial appetite as we stand. Europe needs to respond holistically to these challenges beyond simple rhetoric. In addition, we’re working on transforming Public, including new store openings and digital expansion, solidifying our position as a leading omnichannel retailer in Greece. We all at Olympia, remain anchored at our core values: strategic investment, innovation, and responsible leadership.
