Day 6 of addressing the decades old disinformation campaign targeted against US citizens. Today I am going to address recreational drones and why the drone incursions CAN'T BE RECREATIONAL LEGALLY. Did you know that you can't just buy any Drone or RC plane anymore, take it to your local park and fly it? The Federal Aviation Administration is overall responsible for this and created a RULE not a LAW that requires recreational drone pilots to pass a basic Air Safety and Regulations test before flying, this is rule enforceable under PUBLIC LAW 114–190—JULY 15, 2016 Subsection B. This a free test for recreational use only called TRUST. If you aren't flying your drone for Recreational use, you need to get a drone operator license. (Looking at you real estate photographers) On that note, if it is in line of sight (LOS) and not being flown as a FPV drone, it only requires one operator. If it is a FPV drone and isn't in your LOS, you are required to have a 2nd person next to you that has LOS of the drone and is in active communication with the pilot. The maximum height recreational drones are allowed to fly is 400FT, and that depends on the airspace and if there are any temporary airspace restrictions. Recreational drones can't be flown at night unless you have a commercial operator's license. All the Drone incursions in NJ, NY, and now DC have been at night. There are other restrictions as well, but if your drone is under 250g and you are using it for recreational use it is not required to be registered with the FAA. All drones must have a RemoteID tag as well, even homemade ones. https://lnkd.in/eNbiBYeS hashtag #FAA hashtag #Drones hashtag #UAPs hashtag #lawenforcement

Choosing the right drone for your business is a difficult undertaking, especially in Australia where regulations are stringent. All drones used for commercial work must be registered with with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). However, different weight classes require different licences and accreditations. Depending on the weight of your drone you may need an RPA (Remotely Piloted Aircraft) Operator Accreditation or an RePL (Remote Pilot Licence). The weight of your drone also determines where you can fly it, with smaller drones such as the Mini 4 Pro having the most flexibility, and heavier drones like the DJI Phantom 4 Pro and Mavic 2 Pro requiring additional paperwork and compliance with regulations. Balancing licensing requirements with image and video quality can be complex and will be influenced by your business requirements. However, the DJI Mini 4 Pro has met the needs of many businesses. Weighing under 250g, it only requires an RPA Operator Accreditation to fly, a process that is both free and relatively straightforward to obtain. The camera features of this drone make it a suitable choice for commercial applications, boasting a 48MP sensor, f1.7 lens, Active Tracking, TrueVertical recording, and 100fps in 4k capabilities. Which drone do you use for your aerial photography and videography? #drone #casa #commercialdrone #aerialphotography
