🚨 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭: 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 (𝐒𝐃𝐒) & 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 (𝐍𝐒𝐄) 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 🚨 Canada has officially suspended the SDS visa program, which streamlined study permit processing for international students from 14 countries, including those from India, Pakistan, and the Philippines. They have also suspended the Nigeria Student Express (NSE) which was aimed at prospective university students from Nigeria! Canada's goal is to strengthen program integrity, address student vulnerability, and give all students equal and fair access to the application process. This move, part of a broader strategy to manage housing and social service pressures, means students must now rely on the regular visa application process. 📚 This change may affect timelines for students planning to study in Canada, making early preparation and guidance essential. Approximately 8% of PGWP holders transitioned directly to Permanent Residency in last 5 years. Yes only 8 PERCENT!! 📈 Did you know? There are approximately 1.6 million work permit holders and 1.1 million study permit holders currently in Canada. For 2024, the Express Entry quota stands at 110,770. Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) quota is at 110,000. Considering the influx, only a mere 6.25% of work permit holders are likely to secure PR through these channels. 💡 Why French can be Your Life Saviour?? The French quota for 2024 is 26,100 candidates, comprising 12% of the total Express Entry + PNP numbers. This trend continues in 2025 and beyond, with French quotas representing 13% and 15%. 📊 Check out the table below for a clearer picture of the landscape. Spread the word! Share this post to ensure every aspiring PR applicant knows the battlefield they're in. The time to act is now. Don't let excuses hold you back—It's time to face the reality: without French proficiency, your PR dreams could be at risk. #CanadianPR #FrenchProficiency #VisaInsights

📢 Important Update for International Students: Changes to Canada’s Study Permit Process 📢 Canada is dedicated to ensuring equal and fair access to the study permit application process for students worldwide. In line with this commitment, the Student Direct Stream (SDS) and Nigeria Student Express (NSE) initiatives have been discontinued as of November 8, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. ET. 🗓 Key Details: • The SDS, introduced in 2018, aimed to streamline application processing for students from specific countries, and NSE provided a similar option for Nigerian students. • Moving forward, all international students will apply through the regular study permit stream. • Guaranteed Investment Certificates (GICs) will still be accepted as proof of financial support in the regular process. 🌎 Canada remains committed to welcoming students from around the globe. Applications submitted before the cutoff will still be processed under the SDS and NSE, but those submitted afterward will go through the regular study permit stream. What Kind of School Should I Apply to as an #InternationalStudent in #Canada? Choosing the right type of school in Canada as an international student depends on your individual career goals and aspirations. Canada offers a range of educational pathways, including universities, colleges, and specialty programs, each with its unique values and advantages. #Universities provide traditional academic programs. These institutions are often the most expensive educational pathway but offer extensive career opportunities in fields such as business, finance, and communications and etc. Programs at universities vary in length: Undergraduate Programs: Typically four years long. Post-Graduate Programs: Often two or three years long, available after completing an undergraduate degree. Advanced Education Options: Master’s and PhD programs for eligible students, leading to advanced careers in specialized industries such as academia, business, and medicine. #Colleges offer practical, career-oriented education, ranging from one-year certificates to four-year degrees and diplomas. Colleges prioritize smaller class sizes and intimate educational experiences, focusing on practical skills needed for various industries. Colleges are relatively more affordable than universities and provide valuable credentials for many career paths. #SpecialtyandBridgingPrograms are designed to develop in-demand skills needed across Canada, such as Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). These programs are often shorter, less expensive, and have fewer admission requirements compared to traditional academic pathways, making them ideal for students who want to enter the workforce quickly. #BridgingPrograms allow internationally trained and educated immigrants to continue their careers in Canada. These programs fast-track immigrants' career progression by connecting their international training and experience with Canadian standards. Eligibility criteria and costs for bridging programs vary by province and service provider. #DesignatedLearningInstitutions (#DLIs) It’s important to note that only designated learning institutions (DLIs) are permitted to welcome international students to study in Canada. Regardless of the type of program, ensure that the institution you choose is a DLI.
