From 0 to 100 Million - Inspired by My First 911 Carrera!
Back in 2007, my first Porsche 911 Carrera S could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, those were the times before PDK (Porsche's double clutch system). I still vividly remember that addictive feeling of flooring the gas and taking sharp corners for the first time in my very own first dream machine. Also I just as vividly remember pushing my own limits a bit too far on the race track and losing control, crashing my expensive vehicle. These experiences teaches you valuable lessons to remain humble about your own capabilities and respect your vehicle and surroundings at all times.
Fast forward to today, and that addictiveness and adrenaline rush feels a lot like our journey with the AM Group Holding BV, which we brought from 1 million to 100 million Euros of Revenue in just under 4,5 years.
And now, to top it off, we’ve been nominated by leading dutch financial news paper Het Financieele Dagblad for the 2024 "FD Gazelle Award" for the 4th time, recognising us once again as one of the fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands!
Like driving that 911, building this company has been all about balance, speed, control and focus, otherwise you lose control. But iso far it’s been an incredible ride with a phenomenal team, and I’m grateful for everyone who’s been part of it. And to put it in our own words, "we only just started"!
Here’s to more milestones, more impact, and pushing the limits even further!

Tech Giants in a talk about V2G (VTOG) CATL & VW
V2G is becoming a hot topic, and there are hardly any more influential people in the vehicle industry than Robin Zeng (CATL CEO) and Oliver Blume (Volkswagen Group CEO) who can push bidirectional charging.
Absolutely interesting to hear Robin Zeng emphasize the emotional value of V2G, "even if you are rich, you are happy when you see that your car has earned 10 dollars". "Just for the hapiness"
Oliver Blume also says "It's a high value for the customer"
It is very valuable that the opinion leaders in our industry are talking so openly about V2G. Vehicle manufacturers as well as suppliers need to play along as they are providing part of the technology as well as selling the most expensive investment of V2X, the vehicle battery.
What excuses will there be now? The excuse that the battery ages too quickly is hardly valid any more. The excuse that the BiDi chargers are to expensive is also not valid. So, let's go......

Reflecting on our recent HTEC Drive Days at Sonoma Raceway, I'm struck by the power of shared experiences in building lasting relationships. As leaders, we often talk about thinking outside the box, but there's something truly transformative about stepping outside our usual environments altogether.
Watching our clients and partners push their limits on the track, I was reminded of how innovation often comes from pushing boundaries and embracing controlled risks. The excitement of mastering a high-performance vehicle mirrors the thrill of navigating complex business challenges.
A highlight was meeting professional driver Rob Meginnis. Our shared passion for motorsports led to fascinating discussions about the parallels between racing strategy and business leadership – both require quick decision-making, calculated risks, and continuous adaptation.
As I took the wheel of a Porsche GT3 RS, I felt a renewed appreciation for the importance of hands-on experiences in fostering creativity and problem-solving. It's these moments of exhilaration and focus that often spark our most innovative ideas.
Our lunch at Ram's Gate Winery provided a perfect backdrop for deeper conversations, reminding me that the most valuable connections are often forged outside the boardroom.
Events like these aren't just about driving dream cars; they're about creating an environment where barriers break down, relationships strengthen, and new possibilities emerge. As we look to the future, I'm excited to explore more ways to create these transformative experiences for our clients and team.
What unique experiences have shaped your leadership journey? How do you create opportunities for your team and clients to step out of their comfort zones and into new realms of possibility?

Field Applications Engineer | Test and Measurement, Hardware in the Loop | Helping companies with their electrification efforts and solving their technical challenges | EMBA
Missed this one completely but listened to it yesterday evening and Adrian Newey (considered by many as one of the best F1 designers ever) has some interesting thoughts and comments. He has the same philosophy as TELO Trucks, making cars smaller and lighter, and he is not a fan of the three-ton cars being produced today.
- Believe the electric route prescribed by many governments is wrong, and that they have done a typical governmental by stating that it is the only way forward. He would rather see the car manufacturers themselves come up with their solutions / proposals, so basically have the governments say something along these lines “This is the problem we need to solve, here are the targets you need to meet and by when, and then it is up to you, to come up with your proposals.”
- He thinks the current approach is very anti-engineering.
- Electric has its applications; and it is a great technology that has made tremendous advancements in the last couple of years.
- Electric makes total sense for short distances, perfect in cities, and for vehicles that stay within the city.
- Not enough focus on the birth and death of the car in terms of carbon footprint, so the total carbon footprint of the car’s lifespan, the length of the lifespan, ideally what you want is a car that is long lived, that uses the minimum amount of energy during its life, so in short, a car that is small, light, and aerodynamically efficient.
- Cars are getting bigger and bigger, they are monsters now, even impacting city planning, limited interest in building multi-story car parks because it is too expensive due to the weight they need to handle.
- Today we have three-ton monsters instead of having cars weighing under a ton.
For people that would like to listen to his reasoning please fast forward to 15:30 or so.
