In this video Marc Prensky discusses the need to prepare children for an uncertain future where the nature of jobs and work may drastically change. Instead of focusing on training them for traditional, stable jobs of the past, education should prioritize teaching adaptability and fostering excitement for learning and exploring new possibilities. Prensky argues that the current education system, which is based on outdated curricula, does not align with the dynamic and unpredictable future where job roles can continuously evolve. To better prepare young people, education should be about encouraging curiosity and helping them develop the skills to adapt to new and unforeseen opportunities, keeping their enthusiasm high for whatever new challenges or careers may arise.

Great teachers know when to use "teachable moments" and ditch the original lesson plan. Seismic events, death a loved one, and real life disruptions, are an opportunity to lead a lesson with exposure to values and the high ground. #Financial literacy lessons become robust when we integrate the correlation between money and happiness, not through fiction stories but their own story. Then it starts making sense to them why goal-based budgets matter. When teaching – the WHY and HOW should be in the foreground.

The incursion of modified Marxism in the 1960s and its acceleration in the 70s led to the failure of universities in the west, hitting critical mass around 2014-2015. In return, the Universities charge too much, they have courses that teach non-sense especially in the social sciences and they pay & treat their academic staff terribly. The opportunity to capture the market for higher education in the developing world is immense, especially with the use of AI-mediated testing services and lifelong learning communities.
