In the animal kingdom, there exists a fascinating example of collaboration and mutual benefit. Meet the Honeyguide bird, which guides humans to beehives, allowing us to harvest honey. But here's the remarkable part: the bird doesn't just stop at guiding us; it waits for us to extract the honey, knowing that we'll leave behind the bee larvae - its own source of food! Just like the Honeyguide bird, we can create win-win situations in our personal and professional lives. By working together, sharing knowledge, and supporting each other's goals, we can achieve far more than we could alone. #Collaboration #MutualBenefit #Partnership #Success #NatureInspired #LeadershipLessons #WinWin

Look for the helpers. The Black-capped Chickadee is just that, a helper. These inclusive and social birds are year-round bits of group positivity. They can be found at any feeder sporting sunflower seeds. They travel in groups of up to 10 while collecting migratory friends along the way. Other birds recognize the signature call of the chickadee as one of safety(literally Chick-a-dee-dee-dee). Other species know it’s safe to be with Chickadees because there is always a lookout. As leaders, we show our followers how we can be trusted. With the personalities we surround ourselves with, and the actions that we take. These small birds are a great example of how we can be more inclusive and trustworthy. We help craft that safe environment. Another takeaway: As welcoming as these birds are they also have a secret. In fact, thousands of secrets. This small bird is also known for hiding seeds for the winter. They stock up and store seeds in trees. It’s wild to me that this small bird can host one of the most intricate food maps of the animal world. Hiding seeds in trees as well as in the ground. The ability to hide and recall individual hiding places for up to six months. While this is also amazing. It’s fun to think about the mistakes that can be made and the consequences of these mistakes. If a seed is forgotten it can either become food for something else, or in the right scenario it becomes a plant. Think of the forests and how they grow from tree to tree or plant by plant. Bird accidents grow to become more than just a forgotten thing. Each mistake has its own story to fulfill. In the animal world, teamwork is key to survival. 𝐀𝐧𝐭 and 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐬 thrive by working in organized groups, where everyone has a role—whether gathering food or protecting their colony. 𝐖𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 hunt and raise their young by relying on the strength of the pack, and 𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐬 use teamwork to hunt and care for each other.𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐬 take turns standing guard to keep their group safe. In the same way, our success at work depends on 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 clear 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, and 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬. When we support each other and play to our strengths, we can achieve much more than alone. #Teamwork #Collaboration #Success

Do you know? A TEAM effort is not limited to just humans in the workplace... 🐝 A hive of honey bees can contain up to 60,000 bees. Each bee performs a specific FUNCTION that contributes to the overall success of the hive. Wolves 🐺 move in tight-knit groups with demanding SOCIAL hierarchy. 🦁 Lions prefer hunting big game to feed a large pride. They demonstrate how STRATEGY can be established together before we go for the knockout! Ants 🐜 are tiny animals that use teamwork to SURVIVE. Together during summer, they gather food and build mounds to prepare for the winter. I would like to take this moment to THANK my TEAM Rajeshwari Raghavan and Ann Kurian for making us perfect. We were simply wonderful during the past two hectic weeks! WE are not a TEAM, because we work together. WE are a TEAM because we - Respect Trust Care ...for each other. So, which is your herd? Go ahead and thank your TEAM... It's Friday 👏 #team #fun #respect #trust #life #caring #growth

Do you have the job you dreamed of when you were 11? 🤔 Probably not – but it's a high bar to set. I don't have that job every day, for sure – but yesterday I did, attending the first National Advisory Board for Clean Catch as part of the consortium leading the initiative → www.cleancatchuk.com What is Clean Catch? It’s all about protecting marine wildlife by working directly with and for fishing communities, through meaningful collaboration and with innovative engineering and serious science at its heart. It's about as complex, sensitive and important as it gets – and there are no easy solutions. Yesterday, I sat in a room of 20+ people with a stunning amount of expertise – all with different backgrounds, perspectives, different hard-won types of knowledge (whole lives at sea, professorships, heads of campaigning groups). Every one of them was trying to find balance and secure practical solutions that work in the real world – a world of real constraints and trade-offs. Does this sound like the dream of an 11 year-old? Absolutely not. Back then, I just pictured a job working for the sea and for people, with seabirds and seals and dolphins and sharks thrown in. The grown-up reality of that job isn't straightforward. It often involves lengthy, detail-packed discussions; making big ideals fit within budgets; seeing progress happen by inching – rather than leaping – forward. What made yesterday one of those dream-job days was working with people who care so much about what they do – and who are so totally committed to working together to make change happen. What’s next for Clean Catch? We’ll be establishing a new pilot bycatch monitoring / mitigation study in a location selected from a shortlist by our expert Board. And you’ll see action on the water from 2025 🥳 Follow: https://lnkd.in/ghjHn4Hk for regular updates I really can’t commend the Clean Catch team enough – and huge thanks to everyone who joined yesterday. Much more to come! Milly Oakley Alasdair Davies Chantal Lyons Joanna Murray Zoological Society of London (ZSL) Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Cefas & too many others to tag 🙏

Today we are wrapping up our deep dive into the complicated process of Matchmaking here at Wild Spirit! "What kind of pack behaviors do you still see even though the wolves are not living all in the same enclosure?" Communication is the biggest one that comes to mind. Despite living separately and consisting of multiple different species, all of the rescues communicate with one another constantly. Every morning without fail, for example, they greet staff with barks, howls, and yips, and use similar vocalizations to let one another know when we're beginning our feeding routines, walks, or enrichment activities. In addition, the rescues often call out to one another in the event of an animal's passing--a demonstration that cannot possibly be described with words, but goes to show that regardless of blood, the animals that call the sanctuary home truly are a "family". We also see a number of cooperative behaviors often used in wolf packs, even among pairs. Arctic wolf, Teton, and his late sister, Shasta, for example, were well-known for working together to ambush unsuspecting wildlife that ventured inside their enclosure. On more than one occasion these two managed to catch ravens, squirrels, and other animals using their unique ambush strategies.

Maxires Consulting Maxires Training & Consulting Key Takeaways: *Sharks in the ocean seems to be much safer* They are the most fiercest predators when it comes to the oceans and seas., even more harsher than blue whales. But they seem to have a pattern to attack apart from food. Else they are like any other animal minding its own business. Cristina is certainly brave heart to find cues from the shark, its circling movement which normally indicates friendliness and offered help to that one shark! Since 1996., she has become purple club president of the sharks only to be welcomed everytime she dives into carribean waters. So many powerful lessons of gratitude., communication within the group so that Cristina remains unhurt and even welcomed too! Some of them cuddle up and not leave her are seen better under water., many such acts of love care and gratitude is seen more often under water than land! Even if it appear frequent on land., it’s seen mostly in the forest and wild. Humanity needs to learn from wildlife and behave like animals at time.
