A few weeks ago, as you see here, Roo testified in court regarding a perpetrator our team identified and the subsequent arrest we coordinated with law enforcement. This work — conducting undercover ops, collecting evidence, facilitating an arrest, and providing testimony in court — won’t be able to continue next year unless we raise a good bit more money this month.
Today, a couple of very generous donors have pledged to triple the first $10,000 in donations that’s made to SOSA today, in honor of #GivingTuesday. That means if you give $5, our matching donors will give $10 automatically, turning that $5 into $15!
One of the things that sets SOSA apart is the strength of the evidence we collect under the supervision of law enforcement.
During this hearing, Roo was questioned and cross-examined, and our evidence with shared with the court. It was clear that the completeness of our evidence collection, our adherence to rules of engagement, and our relationship with the law enforcement team for this undercover operation all made this a very strong case, and we’re so honored to be able to be so effective.
Sentencing for this perpetrator is upcoming, and we’ll share an update when we have it, but in the meantime, could you donate today so SOSA is able to continue this work in 2025? Remember: Your money will go three times as far!
