But many lesser-known technologies are already important. Blockchain impacts food supply chains with farm-to-fork transparency. For example, Walmart's blockchain experiment cut mango tracking time from 7 days to 2.2 seconds. Real-time data increases confidence, prevents fraud, and assures food safety. Also game-changing is predictive analytics, often underestimated. Farmers may plan harvests and regulate water consumption with weather and historical data. Due to resource efficiency, precision agriculture may reach $43.4 billion by 2025. Another innovation? Manage cold chain. Poor refrigeration can waste 40% of developing country food. While tracking temperatures in real time, IoT-powered cold chain monitoring avoids waste and stretches perishable items' shelf life. Though sometimes overlooked, such technologies boost resource management and affect food security. The digital revolution in farming!   By deploying Hort@’s advance on-the-ground sensors and taking advantage of its decision support system (DSS), farmers can monitor crops in real-time, make informed decisions based on accurate information, and increase efficiency and productivity.  ➡But that's not all! The results of the study conducted by the Osservatori Digital Innovation were also presented.
