Perhaps you are doing more than what is necessary. Think back to when you were a kid learning about subtraction. But as adults, we seem to have forgotten that simplicity and constantly add more to our already overflowing plates. But what is subtraction that we are talking about? Imagine planning a family vacation. Instead of trying to cram every moment with activities, you decide to subtract unnecessary items from the itinerary. Suddenly, there's room to breathe, to explore, to connect authentically. It's like taking a trip back to the essence of what a vacation should be. And it's not just vacations. In parenting, subtracting micromanagement and helicopter tendencies can lead to more independent and resilient children. At work, simplifying tasks rather than endlessly piling on can lead to a clearer mind and better productivity. When we make decisions, we have to give up something in exchange. By using subtraction, we can confront this reality and make better choices. By asking ourselves what we would give up, we can identify what really matters and gain insight into what we truly want. Subtraction means simplifying and decluttering our lives and prioritizing what is important to us. Sometimes, we need to have less in order to have more. If you feel overwhelmed, remember the power of subtraction to help you focus on what truly matters.

I think this is especially true for people in their 20s. Seeing others being super productive and juggling multiple activities, one also feels the need to be the expert in numerous tasks at the same time. What does this lead to? Overwhelming them and not being able to do any task effectively.
