📺 Check out the third episode of the lighting tutorial series from Rodney Charters with John 'Biggles' Higgins as the lighting consultant. 🎬 We learn why it is sometimes important to light a scene for continuity throughout the shoot day. The scene in this tutorial is a living room where the two characters are at home during the daytime. Instead of the real sun, the team used NANLUX Evoke 2400B and Evoke 1200B LED spotlights to emulate warm afternoon sunlight flowing in through the windows. A NANLITE PavoSlim 120C LED panel is used to mimic soft reflections of sunlight on the walls and fill in the light on the characters' faces. A PavoTube II 30X is used to emulate the changing light from a television as one of the actors plays a game. ⚡️Whether you're a pro or just starting, this tutorial will help you elevate your storytelling with stunning visuals! Check out the full video on our YouTube channel! 💡 Lights used: Evoke 2400B Evoke 1200B PavoSlim 120C PavoTube II 30XR 🙌 Huge thanks to the team for this amazing work! Shot variety helps tell a story better. Obvious right? In any project, it's good to use different types of camera shots. Close-up shots let us see the characters' feelings. Wide shots show us where the story is happening and can also tell us more about the characters by how they move or stand. Movies often use close-up shots to make the person or thing being filmed look in focus, while the background is blurred which is a technique called shallow depth of field. This makes us pay more attention to the person or thing in the shot. This is where a shot list comes in to fully be aware of how you're approaching a project. Show emotion. Show the environment. Show details of the subject. #VideoProduction #Cinematography #Videography #CameraOperator
