As October paints the world pink, we are reminded of the strength and resilience of those affected by breast cancer. This cause hits close to home – we all know or have met a survivor, and there are numerous lessons we have learnt from their unique journeys. For me, I have learnt the power of early detection and unwavering support from loved ones and the society. To all warriors, survivors, and those we've lost: your courage inspires us daily. 💕 This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let's take action: 1. Schedule your mammogram – early detection is a life saver. 2. Support a friend going through treatment – sometimes just being there makes all the difference. 3. Educate yourself and others about risk factors and symptoms. 4. Donate to research if you can – every contribution counts. Remember, self-care isn't selfish. Take time for yourself, practice self-exams, and listen to your body, go on that doctor's appointment you've put off for a while. Together, we can make a difference. Let's spread hope, raise awareness, and support each other. #BreastCancerAwareness #PinkTober #SupportTheFight #selfcare #SynergicSustainability
This is pure fact, early detection is key here, At least the patient will start treatments immediately. One of my aunts I grew up to see her without breasts, and she's still living; hers was detected early enough. Self-care is not selfish, this sinks deeply. Yes, it is also important to show a little bit of love and kindness to those battling it.👍
Breast cancer is a very wicked illness because I have seen first hand experience to what it does to the patients, my heart goes out to everyone battling breast cancer and people taking care of loved ones who have breast cancer, may God heal and comfort you all Congratulations to all breast cancer survivors, you are the strongest person I know, I love you from the bottom of my heart ❤️❤️❤️
The support is everything and more. I remember a lady in my church who had to go manage her sister's business while she underwent breast cancer treatment. That move was so touching because she paused hers, which she felt wasn't as thriving as her sister's. Her sister is a survivor. She's back home to her family and her business. There can still be joy in pains if the right support is there.
Yeah, self-care isn't selfish, this applies to every aspects of health actually. But to the survivors, those still battling, yet to battle or will not battle... loads of love to you all. You are not alone 💗
Thanks for posting this ChihurumNanya Okorie This hit really close to home as we lost a sister in church some weeks back to cancer. My condolences to everyone who has lost a loved due to any form of cancer. To the ones still battling it, I pray for quick recovery. To the survivors, you're the real warriors. #BreastCancerAwareness
The emotional trauma on the person as well their love one's is always hard. The highs. The lows. We all need to join hands together to create awareness. On my own part I try as much as possible to volunteer whenever possible. Early detection is important.
Reading this post, some flashes of emotional moments ran through my thoughts. It's some kind one would always not want to talk about. I pray God come through for all and many who are fighting this.
Early detection, early intervention, if you see something, don't keep it, talk to your doctor. Self-care is not selfish.
Congratulations to all the cancer survivors, you all are the Real MVPs, your strength, reliance and staying on track helped you to fight through. Grace to all going through it.ChihurumNanya Okorie
