The English word "Record" is quite versatile, with several possible meanings. Start with our records management-centric "Word of the Week: Record" short video. Is this WWII poster far off from our definition of a "Record." https://lnkd.in/g6jwudv9...

How can you be involved in the MEMORISE project? We need your input! MEMORISE is exploring how you as a user can play an active role in ensuring that the memory of Nazi persecution will not be forgotten. We are interested in how you usually access information about the history of WWII, which digital applications or devices you prefer, and how much time you would spend with a digital application that introduces stories that relate to Nazi persecution. Please help us improve the MEMORISE project. Here you can access a short survey in English, German and Dutch: https://lnkd.in/exApA4_e

Einstein's Special Theory turned up in movies and literature as there's a shared imagination. Take US $1 w/George upside down to you. Draw a line across the front closest to you. To left, write, “The Past” To right, scribe, “The Future” In the middle, pen “THREE DIMENSIONS." Flip over top to bottom Draw yet another line, so that, in your mind, you see parallel lines, but one is beneath the other across at an incline to the other line through the bill. In the middle of THIS line draw a DOT Above this, write your name Above that, write “SIX DIMENSIONS.” An author paints an OPAQUE of one’s imagination over an actual framework of INTENSIONS Those who LOGICALLY BREACH THE BARRIER BETWEEN PURE FANTASY & REALITY, are seen by all. This is a security system beneath humanity and it's all free. I was at the International Security Conference West this year in Las Vegas and these tools were in every Bible. Now, on the second line closest to you, draw a line from the left and right ends to ANY ONE POINT along the furthest line, and label, on your side of this long wall, EVERY INTELLECTUAL MIND FOR ALL TIME here in six dimensions, but all looking at only one point in space-time in three dimensions. See the screenwriter’s mind looking on the flow of matter in 3D, painting an opaque of his or her imagination over actual flows of logic in space-time To use this, note a triangle from the mind’s eye of the author here in SIX DIMENSIONS on the line closest to you on the page, to the span of time on the line away from you, that the story runs. For my analysis, I have been using all of these movies for data. You’re simply looking at ONE SINGLE ELEMENT in each movie. All you need are THREE just to track ONE FLOW OF COMMON LOGIC IN SPACE-TIME. In our realm, there are a bunch of villains right up into the past Bush/Cheney & Trump White Houses — a swarm in space-time — that are killing the imagination of this world and giving it fear and hatred in great form. You have seen them already as… • With “Harry Potter,” Voldemort and the Death Eaters. • With “The Matrix 3? Mr. Smith and the virus. • With “Return of the Jedi,” the Emperor and the Empire You have seen the logical flows of Abraham, Elijah, and Mohammed as two nice guys and a ruffian as a composite set, soon to be joined by Aquarius. • With “Harry Potter,” Dumbledore, McGonnigal, and Snape, followed by Harry Potter • With “The Matrix 3? Trinity, The Oracle, and Morpheus, followed by Neo • With “Return of the Jedi,” at the end, Yoda, Obiwan Kenobi, and Darth Vader, followed by Luke. As you can see with your mind’s eye, the virus in the matrix, the Death Eaters, and Empire are a plane of ideas, but as they are of ideas that are detrimental to the survival of the system, this is an early warning system built into all of us. However, THE MARINES have no idea and cannot help to use them until someone sees what I see. I'm Aquarius. https://lnkd.in/g4dX3yP

I am knee-deep in book #5 in the Conor Thorn Series. The research is done, the outline is complete, and the writing has commenced. I am still playing with titles. For me, the title sometimes becomes clear once I am deep into the first draft. I shared the title I am currently focused on with my wife and she hated it! I guess we’ll see where it goes... #AmReading #ConorThornSeries #WorldWarII #BookUpdate #NewBook #WWII #HistoricalFiction #ThrillerNovel

Some pieces are eternal classics, such as the 1944 CIA manual on how to #sabotage an #organisation’s #productivity. “The Simple Sabotage Field Manual” was distributed by the Allies in WWII to guide sympathetic citizens. It gave the rebellious ones instructions on how to weaken their occupied country by reducing productivity in the #workplace. 60 years later, some suggestions are equally applicable as during WWII, and stand probably even more unquestioned in a modern workplace: - Insist on doing everything through “channels”. Never permit shortcuts to be taken in order to expedite decisions. - When possible, refer all matters to #committees, for “further study and consideration”. Attempt to make committees as large as possible - never less than five. - Talk as frequently as possible and at great length. - Bring up irrelevant issues as frequently as possible. - Haggle over precise wordings of communications, minutes, resolutions. - Refer back to matters decided upon. - Be worried about the propriety of any #decision.

Why Some Stories Don’t Make the Cut—and Why That’s Okay… Not every story fits in a book. The story of Jacques Stosskopf—a World War II engineer who secretly worked against the Nazis while pretending to be on their side, was cut from ours. It’s a gripping tale, but it didn’t make it into the final version of our book "Superstrengths." Here’s why we left it out, and why we felt that was the correct decision: - Did The Story Support Our Main Point? For us, Stosskopf’s story was exciting, but it didn’t directly connect to the idea of developing and using “Superstrengths.” - Strong Content over Context?. We attempted to shoehorn the concept of a personality superstrength into our core principles, but it didn’t pass the final shake of the sieve. - Interesting, But Distracting Story? We felt that this story was interesting enough to include it, but it didn’t quite fit. Following our core message was more important than just adding interesting stories, and we might have been compromising a little merely to include this chapter. Summary: Sometimes, leaving something out can amplify a message. https://lnkd.in/ef4U_UQc

New book review out on my first book, 'Understanding the Military Design Movement: War, Change, and Innovation' through Routledge: "Only one who began in the fine arts, worked his way from private to combat officer in the US Army, taught design in the US Special Forces, earned a PhD emphasizing the intersection of postmodern philosophy and military strategy, and now works as director of the US Space Command's Strategic Innovation Group could have written this fascinating and challenging book. It explores why modern war is conceptualized as it is. [....] Zweibelson (independent scholar) doesn't tell readers what to think. He can't. This is a call for meta-analysis―a process without end. Required reading for those who can follow where Zweibelson leads. Summing Up: Highly recommended. Graduate students, faculty, and professionals." - D. McIntosh, Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, CHOICE March 2024 You can get a digital copy or the hardcover version at Amazon or Routledge. There are special ordering options in bulk for schools or libraries if they contact Routledge Sales for a lower cost paperback. The paperback version should be out this winter publicly. https://lnkd.in/gyWEZWjq #design #designeducation #designtheory #innovation #leadership #strategy #creativity #complexity #military #security #defense #technology #warstudies #conflict #change #coaching #creativeproblemsolving #army #marines #navy #airforce #space #spaceforce #socom #specialoperations
