And here's what I know: Sam is looking for 1. A job in #banking or financial services as a #financialanalyst 2. A job in #Philadelphia, #NewYorkCity, or #Miami Sam has 1. A bachelor's in #finance and management 2. 9ish months of work experience as a modeling analyst, financial analyst, real estate analyst Tagging a few folks I know in the #banking space to help out here. I leveraged domain knowledge to get a 30% raise. I was a billing supervisor. I wanted to be a business analyst. So I began investing time in tech skill building And started applying. Found a perfect fit opportunity. Interviewed. Impressed. Hired. And more money. How? Skills, yes. But I also knew their department. This was a business analyst role for a credit/collections department of a large company. When I started, my manager told me this in a conversation: "We interviewed people more technically advanced than you, but we liked that you knew our department." They also liked me.
