At Nassini Foundation, we believe that every community deserves the tools and resources to shape its own future. In regions like Mia, Northern Uganda, where challenges are immense, our work becomes not only about providing aid but about empowering individuals to lead change themselves. We see our mission as a partnership—a shared commitment to bring about sustainable transformation. When we identify communities in critical need, we don’t just step in with quick solutions. Instead, we develop a strategic roadmap that addresses both immediate needs and long-term growth. In Mia, for example, our focus includes: • Investing in education to open doors for every girl, creating lasting opportunities. • Ensuring access to clean water, which is fundamental for health and dignity. • Equipping farmers with modern practices to improve crop yields and reduce hunger. • Supporting economic projects that pave the way for financial independence and resilience. • Providing shelter and stability for families displaced by crisis, with dignity at the core. • Inspiring local leaders to drive and sustain development from within. By sharing this work, we extend a call to service—a chance for others to join us in standing with communities like Mia. Together, we can be part of a movement that not only addresses immediate needs but also plants the seeds for a resilient, self-sustaining future. Let’s make Northern Uganda and the world at large a testament to the power of shared purpose and compassion.

Walking on cracked soil, yet surrounded by beauty Uganda’s red earth tells a story—cracks in the soil that speak of challenges, yet in the same landscape, vibrant flowers and resilient trees bloom. It’s a powerful reminder that, like the land, life often holds both struggles and beauty. This definitely counts as well for the people I met that fled their countries because of conflict. Their stories leave me speechless, as amidst all these cruel realities, they still speak of rays of beauty and hope. Yet I’ve also met people who have lost all hope. Connecting them through our partnerships with local organisations offers a lifeline. They witness fellow countrymen who went through similar struggles, yet found a way to rebuild their lives. I’m grateful to be here for our LEAD Uganda programme, where we witness the resilience and hope of communities overcoming adversity. Together, we’re nurturing growth—empowering individuals, fostering local leadership, and building brighter futures where refugees and host communities thrive together, even when the path is uneven. Seeing the beauty amidst the cracks is an art, and it’s in these broken places that we often witness love and unity at work, bringing restoration and hope. Let’s keep stepping forward, knowing that from the cracks, beauty can rise. #leadership #empowerment #LEADUganda #communityimpact #europeancomission #resilience #communitygrowth #hope

"Each bite of food we eat is the end product of a chain of interconnected events. These events are not only impacting our ecological, economic and social systems but also impacted by them. Yet, how many of these interactions are outside of our field of vision?" #SustainableFood #ClimateChange

#GreatLakes Today One year after I worked in the Management Team in a Key role (Programme Support) for the success of this regional conference that we called together Regional Multi Stakeholders Conference which was held in Kigali in March 2023. I remember the impact that this event had on our +100 young leaders who are the beneficiaries of this project in 5 countries (DRC, Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda) who to this day have forged very good relationships in all sectors/areas with different stakeholders and decision-makers in the wider region, facilitating their dialogue and exchanges for lasting peace in the region. These kinds of links that we are fostering for young people will continue in our future EU projects. Even if the project is closed now, Just to tell our youth groups and Initiatives to keep up their good work, their initiatives are promising and can create meaningful impacts in their own communities and in the end we can have a progressive Great Lakes region. #4YouthDialogue #KAS #PeaceConflict #Transformation

As you all know, we at Peeplcoach believe in equity, equality and fairness, and we know that education and development is a critical factor in empowering individuals to take control of their situations and environments to build better lives. This is why we support The Hunger Project Australia. Crisis often creates the burning platform for innovation and change, whilst success can often lead to complacency. We have all, and still are, feeling the impact of Covid, rising interest rates, climate change, world wars and whilst we, our teams and business might be “doing it tough” the communities we support in the worlds poorest countries - Africa, India and Bangladesh – are doing it tougher. Over population, climate change, no government support or infrastructure or even access to basics such as food, water or healthcare. What does this mean?? That the team at The Hunger Project has to be really innovative to make an impact to solve hunger and, literally, save lives. Join us, as our guest, to hear the learnings of Irene Haikaalil, Country Director Uganda. This is the only in person event The Hunger Project will be holding where you will be able to hear, first hand, how the methodology of Vision, Commitment and Action are transforming thousands of individuals daily to align communities and region towards a common goal. Bring these learnings back to your teams to see the difference they can make. In 2012, I went to the Uganda with The Hunger Project which sparked the idea for Peeplcoach. James Chisholm went to Uganda in 2014 which sparked the idea of something different for him....and here we are!!! Learn the difference you can make for yourself and those around you by creating your vision, commitment and action to a better life and world. There will also be a number of panel members including myself and Tanya Southey - Vicinity who will share how we are bringing this entrepreneurial thinking into our businesses every day. The event is hosted by Vicinity Centres Group and seats are limited. Please book here https://lnkd.in/gUbbEdmr and see you there!!!! Moses Mwai Wang'ang'a, Development Dynamics' Impact Management and Measurement Associate, engaged John Bosco Kalisa, Founder and Executive Chairman of the East Africa Business and Investment Advisory Council, at the East Africa Philanthropy Network-EAPN forum for a quick fireside chat. This event brought together the Rwanda Philanthropy Forum (RPF) Forum, rwanda civil society platform, and key representatives from the private and public sectors to explore ways to enhance collaboration through Private Public Philanthropy Partnerships (PPPPs). The conversation emphasised the importance of PPPPs in addressing challenges such as the ongoing impacts of COVID-19, climate change, and global conflicts. John highlighted the need for strong regulatory frameworks and proactive government involvement—especially through Ministries of Finance—to encourage private-sector participation and ensure sustained progress in community development.
