I'm guilty of this - starting an email with "I hope you are doing well." Do you agree with the author of this article, that it's wrong to start an email this way? What would you write instead?

1yI diisagree. It's a polite part of a greeting. And unlike "how are you doing?" Wherein you most often get the obligatory "fine" sometimes you get more drama than you hoped. " I hope you are well" is nice sentiment without opening the door for a lot of drama. To me its a softer way than just plunging into business which is the intent of a business email.
