Some of our team members are currently studying CMI qualifications at various levels, so in the office today, we got talking about the following… 💡 The Johari Window 👀 This models how giving and receiving feedback affects self-awareness. The four window panes represent interdependent areas of self-awareness - changes in one affect the others. The panes are: 🔹 Arena : The 'public' self. Open to self and others. 🔹 Blind Spot: The 'hidden in plain sight' self. Known to others, hidden from self. 🔹 Facade: The 'private' self. Known to self, hidden from others. 🔹 Unknown: The 'mystery' self. Unknown to all and linked to our subconscious. The more self-aware we are, the more we reduce our ‘facade’, ‘blind spot’ and ‘unknown’ areas - ultimately increasing our openness and understanding. If you currently working in a position of leadership and this sort of theory is of interest to you, then why not challenge yourself by enrolling on to a course? All of our qualifications are provided by distance learning. This method of education proves advantageous to those who are in employment as it has many benefits, such as: 🎓 Study when and where you want 🌍 🎓 Prove competency in existing role 🎓 Demonstrate commitment 🎓 Improve likelihood of career progression/promotion 👏🏻 🎓 Expand existing skills and learn new ones 🧠 🎓 Receive a certificate from a highly recognised British awarding body on completion 🥇 🎓 1st class assessor support throughout study 💪🏻 🎓 Interest-free payment plans available (no credit checks) 📆 Whether you wish to study for personal or professional reasons, we will be able to help you achieve your goals 🏆 Please feel free to view the following link for further information or contact our team directly for further information: 💻https://lnkd.in/e393MtJ3 Tel: +44 (0)2390 02048 📞 WhatsApp: +44 (0)7483160737 📲 LinkedIn: shorturl.at/vDJMW 👩💼 Twitter: shorturl.at/dpLOV 🐦 Instagram: shorturl.at/btKTW 📸 With TrustTeach, you are in safe hands 🤝

Yesterday marked the start of a special 3-month series with Philip Morris International as part of their Career Hub and Professional Development offering. We kicked off the session with a few key statistics, two of which highlighted below: ➡️ 44% of core skills required for the average job will change by 2027 (The World Economic Forum, 2023). ➡️ 94% of employees said they would stay at a company longer if it invested in their learning and development (LinkedIn Learning Report, 2024). We’re witnessing seismic shifts in the way we work, driven by various accelerators—pandemics, financial uncertainty, political unrest, and the rapid pace of technological advancement to name only a few. The boundaries between work and home have never been so blurred. It’s essential for organisations to prioritise the development of their people, not just for individual growth, but for the organisation’s long-term survival in the modern world. I have worked with the PMI team for many years now and they continually adapt to meet the evolving needs of their people. Thank you for organising this special series, Natalia Stapor and Libby Clifford and well done on all your hard work! It was an absolute pleasure to be back with so many of team yesterday. My role over the next few months is not to be a training provider nor an authority figure, but a human. To connect with them, work alongside them, and provide the information, methodology, support, accountability, and hopefully a bit of inspiration—so they can understand where they are, where they want to be, and how they get there when it comes to their careers. Admittedly, this photo might be "fake news" since yesterday was online —but it makes for a better post, doesn’t it? Happy Thursday LI, Bianca #corporatewellness #employeewellbeing #healthoptimisation #healthtech #speaker #personaldevelopment #professionaldevelopment

About a year ago, I attended a PMI talk that crossed over with change management, specifically relating to the ACMP (https://lnkd.in/dScC9WB). A year and several "software projects" later, I am better discerning the difference between project and change activities, and how much change I have already been managing. For those of you who "manage software projects", learning the change management body of knowledge would be a superb tool to have in your toolbox. #ProjectManagement #ChangeManagement #PMI #ACMP

My Week 20 Reflection at 3MTT Nigeria Name:Samaila Sidi Fellow ID:FE/23/84002175 Cohort 2 Learning Track: Product Management Title: My 3TT Journey Growth and Challenges Introduction Over the past 11 weeks, I've experienced significant growth in my product management skills through the 3MTT program. My key achievement has been successfully applying product management principles to real-world projects, resulting in improved outcomes. *Key Achievement:* My biggest accomplishment has been developing a comprehensive product roadmap for a hypothetical product, incorporating market analysis, customer feedback, and stakeholder buy-in. This exercise honed my skills in prioritization, stakeholder management, and effective communication. *Biggest Challenge:* My biggest challenge has been balancing theoretical knowledge with practical application. Initially, I struggled to connect the dots between concepts and real-world scenarios. However, through persistence, peer feedback, and mentor guidance, I've improved my ability to contextualize learnings. *Skills Growth:* My skills have grown exponentially in: 1. Product roadmap development 2. Stakeholder management 3. Market analysis 4. Customer feedback incorporation *Next Focus Area:* Moving forward, I'll focus on refining my data analysis skills to inform product decisions. *Call to Action:* To my fellow Cohort 2 peers, let's continue to support each other in our learning journey! #My3MTTWEEKLYREFLECTION #3MTTCommunity @3mttNigeria @Dr Bosun Tijani @IHSTowers @NITDANigeria

Transformational Experiences Series – Part 5 – “Australia to the UK” My tenure at IDP Education Australia marked another significant milestone in my career. During this period, I developed key skills in project management, leadership, stakeholder engagement, and international higher education management. The most impactful lessons I learned were about the implications of allowance disparities and the profound effects of redundancy on those who are let go and those who remain. Over three years, our team expanded from four to seven project managers as the company secured more projects. The appointment of a senior project manager was a pivotal moment for us. While we welcomed the new team member with open hearts, many felt this opportunity should have been offered internally. I distinctly remember expressing my concerns to a colleague, predicting that this new appointment might lead to challenges for our cohesive team. Despite the senior project manager's initial goal to streamline processes and enhance efficiency, the ineffective leadership and absence of any strategies quickly became apparent. This became especially evident when the senior project manager disclosed her compensation package, highlighting that I was underpaid for my responsibilities. This revelation, shared with other team members, sparked discussions about compensation disparities. When we collectively raised our concerns with management, we were reprimanded for breaching the company's code of conduct by discussing compensations. Nevertheless, this led to equitable adjustments in our allowances. Soon after the compensation incident, the company underwent a round of redundancies, and three of our team members were laid off. Witnessing this was profoundly saddening and my first encounter with the harsh reality that such decisions are business-driven, not personal. This experience deeply affected me, prompting me to resign and take a break to reflect on my career path. Unbeknownst to me then, this six-month break in the UK would begin my next professional journey of “A new chapter in the UK”.
