🌟 Grief looks different for every child. Some may act out, others might become withdrawn, and many will struggle to find the words to express their pain. At The Never Alone Project, we understand these unique challenges. Through our programs like Helping Children with Loss and Upside Down, Downside Up resource, we provide the support and tools needed to help children process their emotions and feel seen, heard, and understood. 💙 This week, let's raise awareness and spread the message: No child should grieve alone. #YouAreNotAlone #SupportThroughGrief #childrensgriefawarenessweek

It’s a conversation most of us avoid until critical moments, but it’s nothing to be scared of - discussing the end of our lives doesn’t bring it any closer and can ensure that we and our loved ones have our wishes fulfilled. For Dying Matters Awareness Week, I’ve written a blog on how you can start the conversation with your loved ones, how to support a colleague dealing with bereavement, and even how to address questions from children. Each year, Dying Matters Awareness Week comes as a reminder to talk to those around us about important matters to do with death. "As a society, we need to be braver about talking about death, dying and bereavement, and better at making sure the right plans are put in place to protect ourselves and our loved ones at the end of life.” – Sarah West, Hospice UK and Dying Matters Campaigns Director. This week, CJ Dwyer discusses the importance of being able to have a conversation around death and dying. She gives some vital tips on how to approach the subject. 🌟 November is National Children's Grief Awareness Month, a crucial time to raise awareness and provide support to grieving children 🌟 This month, we shine a light on the unique needs of grieving children. Kids often face a whirlwind of questions after a loss, and as caregivers, we can provide reassurance with the "5 C's of Children's Grief": 1. Did I *CAUSE* it? 2. Can I *CATCH* it? 3. Could I have *CURED* it? 4. Who is going to take *CARE* of me? 5. How can I stay *CONNECTED* to the person? By answering these questions with care, we help children feel safe, loved, and understood during a difficult time. This November, let's make space for these conversations, offering comfort and clarity to grieving children everywhere, and inspiring a community of support. 💙 @Innersojourn #NationalChildrensGriefMonth #5CsOfGrief #ChildrensGriefAwareness

Talking with Children - Dying Matters Awareness Team Waldrons have been committed to participating in Dying Matters Awareness Week, encouraging you to get talking about death, dying and grief in whatever way, shape or form works for you. Today we talk about talking to children, possibly the most difficult conversation of all? Children can find talking about death an uncomfortable and upsetting subject, so it is often helpful to translate it into something they understand. This may mean providing them with a scenario which in effect means the same but using a different example in which they can relate to more easily. The leaflet Talking with Children about dying is a further piece of guidance from Hospice UK to assist with the way we talk about how children are feeling and helps with how we answer practical questions. https://lnkd.in/e_iCiatV Knowing what to say and when to say it is of ten a stumbling block for many people but being motivated to take action to help or support someone in some way is often comforting. ⌨️ www.waldrons.co.uk 📞 01384 811 811 #Wearewaldrons #BlkCountryHour #@DyingMatters #TheWayWeTalkAboutDyingMatters #DMAW24 @DudleyGroupNHSCharity
