National Resources of Ukraine’s Post

New horizons for green energy in Ukraine. For the first time in Ukraine, the State Enterprise “Guaranteed Buyer” announced an online auction to support enterprises that produce electricity from alternative sources through the state system Prozorro.Sale. The first lot will be an 11 MW annual quota for solar power generation. Under the terms of the auction, the station should be located on the left bank of the Dnipro River. This is an important step for the development of green energy and ensuring transparent competition in the market.  The bidding will be based on the principle of price reduction, which will reduce the cost of “green electricity” for end consumers. The maximum bid is 9 euro cents per 1 kWh. The auction will take place on October 31, and applications will be accepted until October 30, 2024. Why is it important?  This auction is the first of many upcoming ones aimed at supporting investors in the renewable energy sector. Thanks to transparent conditions, investors will be able to attract financing, create new jobs, and increase generating capacity. This approach will help to reduce the price of green energy and increase energy security and integration into the European energy system.  Supporting renewable energy sources is not only environmentally friendly but also beneficial for economic development and future generations.
