The NSAR Rail Workforce Survey 2024 paints a clear picture of the challenges facing the UK rail industry. Key findings: 👋 Up to 90,000 workers could leave the rail industry by 2030 through retirement and other forms of attrition. ↘️ A 9.4% decline in the workforce in the past year, primarily in the supply chain. 💼 The average age is 44, with a third of employees aged 50+. 🚺 While the trend is positive, women still represent only 17.4% of the workforce. 👉 Read the report: https://lnkd.in/ec3G7ZFj #NSAR #RailWorkforceSurvey2024 #rail #skills

1mo10 years ago we were looking at all the Trainers, Intellectual Corporate memory being aged 55 and ready to retire. Now they are 65 and still we've done little to bring new talent to the rail training sector. That's why I joined Morson Training to share my expertise and support new training talent off the track and into education. 90,000 workers are going to need training.
