As Kofi Annan once said, “Any society that does not succeed in tapping into the energy and creativity of its youth will be left behind.” With that in mind, we’re thrilled to announce that we are just 9 days away from the 4th Series of the National Youth Conversations, where we aim to once again harness the power and potential of Malawi’s youth! The Malawi 2063 vision emphasizes that our youth, when fully empowered, are the nation’s greatest asset, capable of driving the socio-economic transformation needed for Malawi to become an inclusively wealthy, self-reliant, industrialized, and upper-middle-income country by 2063. Yet, much of this potential remains untapped. That’s why our 4th series, themed “Unlocking Youth Economic Empowerment and Job Creation Opportunities Towards MW 2063,” will bring together young job seekers, aspiring entrepreneurs, financiers, policymakers, educators, and business leaders. Together, we will collaborate on innovative solutions, share insights, and develop actionable strategies to boost youth employment and economic empowerment. Get involved! Share your thoughts, tag your friends, and comment below with ideas on how we can empower our youth. Let’s start the conversation now and ensure you don’t miss out. #NationalYouthConversations #MW2063 #YouthEmpowerment #jobcreation Technical, Entrepreneurial and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TEVETA) AGRA National Planning Commission of Malawi National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF) Small & Medium Enterprises Development Institute UNICEF Rex Chapota Sam kawale Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera State House Malawi European Investment Bank (EIB) UNDP USAID United Nations United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Young African Leadership Initiative IM Swedish Development Partner International Youth Council Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) National Bank of Malawi Standard Bank Malawi Old Mutual South Africa International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)National Smallholder Farmers Association of Malawi (NASFAM)

10 days to go! As we draw ever closer to the exciting 3rd edition of the National Youth Conversations. We would like to share what we aim to accomplish with our theme: “Bridging the Digital Divide: Are Malawian Youth ready to lead in the Digital Revolution towards MW 2063?” Our theme for the 3rd edition of the “Youth Conversations” aims to challenge young people, government authorities, private sector and other stakeholders to assess the state of youth readiness and leadership in digital innovation in Malawi This is by identifying best practices, as well as opportunities, gaps, and challenges, and to agree on how best to accelerate Malawi's digital transformation through young people. This is also in line with the National Youth Policy, which has one of its priority areas focused on ensuring that young people, as critical agents, access and exploit the benefits of Science, Technology and Innovations in order spearhead the national socio-economic development. #NationalYouthConversations #YouthvoicesMw #Nycomrevamp Rex Chapota Williot Joaquim Lumbe Daud Suleman Mzuzu University Mzuzu E-Hub Malawi University of Science and Technology AGRA

🌍 ✨ Empowering young adolescents to advocate for, and take action on the SDGs by the United Nations is essential for fostering a sustainable, equitable, and prosperous future. It ensures that the next generation is prepared, motivated, and equipped to continue the work towards achieving these global goals. With the opportunity afforded me through my participation in the SDG Advocacy Programme by UN SDSN Youth - Nigeria and SDSN Youth by extension, I explicitly taught the key components of the 2030 agenda to these young change makers of Anglican Comprehensive Secondary School, Kubwa, Abuja Nigeria. The key components of the 2030 agenda being: 1. People 👫 End poverty and hunger in all forms, ensuring that all human beings can fulfill their potential in dignity and equality and in a healthy environment. 2. Planet 🌎 Protect the planet from degradation through sustainable consumption and production, managing natural resources, and taking urgent action on climate change to support the needs of present and future generations. 3. Prosperity 💰 Ensuring that all people can enjoy prosperous and fulfilling lives and that economic, social, and technological progress occurs in harmony with nature. 4. Peace ☮️ Promote peaceful, just, and inclusive societies free from fear and violence. As there can be no sustainable development without peace, and no peace without sustainable development. 5. Partnership ♾️ Global partnership for sustainable development, based on a spirit of strengthened global solidarity, focused on the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable, and with the participation of all countries, stakeholders, and people. These young change makers also took a pledge to promote and educate others around them about the SDG goals. With so much to look forward to, and as we approach 2030, I commit to helping young individuals interested in making active contributions to the attainment of the global goals, understand the dynamics and core principles, while also helping them find their place as they engage. ✨🤍🌍 #sdggoals #2030agenda #nopoverty #zerohunger #genderequality #reducedinequalities #goodhealthandwellbeing #climateaction

The SIMagination Challenge is an essential curricular pillar of the Master of Arts in Strategy and International Management (SIM-HSG) originated and taught by Prof. Omid Aschari. The course is tackling contemporary grand challenges in a practice mode with a transformative approach. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (from UN) guide SIMagination initiatives, promoting prosperity for people and the planet, while tackling at least one of those goals, looking at the greatest need(s), and the biggest impact, and using education as a tool towards achieving the other goals. Passed from class to class, the initiatives evolve for sustained impact and transformation. Sustainability goes beyond the environmental aspect; it's about building for lasting impact. It evolves across generations, emphasizing collaboration, trust, and reliance. We have the following 7 currently running initiatives in the portfolio: Insight Cambodia - Supporting impoverished children in Cambodia through the means of education and nutrition. PureDrops - To live in a world in which every human being has immediate access to clean drinking water. SIMcubator Bangladesh and SIMcubator Rwanda - Entrepreneurship is one of the best ways of combating poverty & driving local change. Support local entrepreneurs to develop tailor-made solutions to help their communities. SIMrise (formerly SIMilili) - Contributing to the agricultural education a community of children in Cambodia by building a greenhouse in the local school, to empower future generations to thrive in this vital sector. SIMocean - Free the world's oceans from plastic. XHUMA - South Africa - Aim to empower underprivileged pupils in South Africa to build a better future by teaching them financial literacy. Wish to break the vicious cycle of poverty. SIMagination Challenge: https://lnkd.in/egJA2pEz #responsibleleadership #responsibility #accountability #sustainability #community #awareness #future

Proud of my SIMmies - highly talented young leaders of tomorrow. With «SIMagination Challenge» we want to also send a strong message into the world that change comes through a commitment to ACTION - now, not just tomorrow. "Thought leadership" is important but not sufficient to effect change. It requires to direct the power of thought into decisive and united action. https://lnkd.in/e_8yQXgQ

As we celebrate the Youth this week, here are some key points to consider: •In investments time & compound interest are your best friend. You're never too young to start investing. •A lot of us think investments only make sense with large amounts, start with what you have and build your way up to bigger lump sum investments. •Start small, allow time and compound interest to help your money grow and before you know it, you'll be ready to place substantial lump sum investments. •Discipline and consistency will help you reach your long term investment goals. Lastly and most important, set concrete goals separated into short-term and long-term goals. Always consult an investment or financial advisor before making any major investment decisions #thoughtfulinvesting #youthweek2024
Happy Youth Day, Today, as we celebrate Zambia @60, let's empower the next generation to Be the Change. Investing in our youth today ensures a prosperous tomorrow. #YouthDay #BeTheChange #MoneyAcumenAdvsiory #InvestmentAdvisors #ThoughtfulInvesting
