Our friends at AS220 are not alone. This is a post-pandemic existential crisis that impacts the entire nonprofit arts community. Many states allocated federal ARPA support to create funds to help the recovery of their arts sector but RI did not. Despite it's capital city being branded as the "Creative Capital," RI ranks 38 out of 50 in state support of the arts. All the while the arts actually are a huge contributor to the local economy. My organization alone, WaterFire Providence, draws nearly 1,000,000 visitors a year (60% from out of state and approximately 20% from outside the US) who create over $150,000,000 in economic output which generates more than $12,000,000 in tax revenue for the State of RI and supports over 1,300 jobs in local businesses for residents. The arts make up 3.2% of the RI economy just slightly behind the construction industry at 3.4%. #Art4Impact #ArtMeansBusiness

For our colleagues in New York, making an impact begins with a simple question: “How do we make the city stronger?” The answer involves taking the best of our firm’s capabilities and providing them at no cost to local nonprofits, like the The James Beard Foundation, Manhattan School of Music, and Regional Plan Association. Here's a glimpse into how we're driving progress alongside our community’s changemakers ➡️ https://mck.co/3zPNfTL #SustainableInclusiveGrowth

Did you know that arts and culture in Miami-Dade County contribute a whopping $2.1 billion to our economy? 💰 Here’s the thing: The arts are not just about creativity—they’re economic powerhouses. 32,000 jobs in our community are tied to the arts. Every $1 the County invests in non-profit arts groups leverages $39 from other sources. But right now, we’re facing a crisis. Proposed budget cuts could devastate our cultural organizations—right when they’re already struggling with inflation, lingering pandemic effects, and a lack of affordable spaces. If passed, these cuts will hurt services for children, seniors, and people with disabilities. Many of these arts groups are small businesses—they need our support! 💥 We need your voice! Help us restore the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs' grants budget. This isn’t just an investment in the arts—it’s an investment in our community's future. #SupportTheArts #MiamiDade #CulturalAffairs #EconomicGrowth
